Summary

Supports recruiting needs across multiple manufacturing and distribution centers for non-exempt to exempt level positions while identifying and engaging top talent to Owens & Minor. Will act as a consultative partner developing trust with business clients and HR Partners. Able to develop an understanding of a hiring manager’s needs and identify the characteristics and skillsets of assigned requisitions. Ideal candidate will preferably be based within commuting distance to to a manufacturing or distribution center.

Core Responsibilities

  • Execute recruiting and pipelining plans for primarily hourly manufacturing positions with occasional administrative to senior manager level

  • Work closely with hiring managers and HR partners to understand ideal candidate and day in the life to sell opportunities to candidates in the market and assess for fit to role

  • Create and execute on sourcing and recruiting plans aligned to requisitions

  • Develop pipelines of candidates and identifying key talent in niche areas as determined by market needs and business strategies

  • Explain insights on candidate strengths, opportunities and likelihood for success

  • Develops job specific screening guides for roles, interviewing guides for selection teams and collects all necessary documentation for compliance.

  • Conduct and attend job fairs and engage talent on various platforms including LinkedIn, Indeed, Boolean searches, etc. Maintaining a pipeline of talent for current and future needs.

  • Ensures recruitment and employment activities are in compliance with EEOC and OFCCP government regulations and organization policies and procedures.

Qualifying Experience

  • Bachelor degree

  • 2+ years in recruiting or human resources experience with demonstrated recruiting/onboarding experience

  • Active user of HRIS or TA software system

  • Workday experience strongly preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Excellent Communications Skills

  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to work in fast pace environment

  • Ability to travel (drive and airline) up to 20%

  • Experienced with Microsoft Office including: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint. Office 365 a plus

  • Technically savvy and able to learn latest recruiting tools and technology
