Job Description

Responsible for creating, analyzing, and maintaining reports and dashboards to support department goals. Partners with colleagues and leaders to understand their reporting needs and assist in the development of reporting processes and administration in the ERP system. Performs data extraction, develops metrics and analyses to drive key business strategies while prioritizing reporting needs. Collaborates with applications team regarding integrations, report scheduling, and business processes.

Minimum Base Pay: $54,399.00. All salary calculations start at the minimum salary and will be based on candidate’s education and experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Designs, develops, tests, and deploys reporting solutions and dashboards to provide key metrics and data to leaders. Designs, develops, and supports SQL queries.

  • Writes, maintains, and supports delivered and custom reports, including matrix reports, composite reports, and dashboards using the ERP System.

  • Creates and maintains calculated fields to derive appropriate data.

  • Proactively researching new ERP reporting and analytics features and functionality and determining how best to meet user needs. Supports Workday upgrades.

  • Plays a key role in the development, administration, and improvement of the reporting processes, data governance, and data quality initiatives.

  • Performs reporting audits to ensure accuracy and compliance. Maintains data integrity and accuracy in reporting and analysis. Ensure integrity and security of data through proactive analysis of report performance and results.

  • Proactively monitors ERP system releases and enhancements for assigned functional areas.

  • Applies database and business object knowledge to problem-solving needs by cross-referencing data fields and performing other queries to gain new information.

  • Assists with the preparation of training materials, job aids, instructions, and training when needed.

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Four years of related experience

  • Experience with a variety of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems

Knowledge of:

  • Workday report writer and calculated fields

  • Microsoft SQL Server

  • Federal and State reporting requirements

  • Microsoft Office Professional or similar application

Skilled in:                    

  • Attention to detail while maintaining effective time and task management

  • Delivering a high level of customer service

  • Analyzing relevant information to solve problems

Ability to:

  • Manipulate and analyze large amounts of data

  • Effectively communicate verbally and in writing on a regular basis with internal and external customers, build relationships, manage customer expectations, and take responsibility for a high level of service

  • Interact in a positive manner with diverse populations and varying education levels of students, faculty, staff, and the public

  • Integrate data objects utilizing multiple business streams

  • Conduct presentations

Licenses, Registration, Certifications, or Special Requirements:

  • Regular physical attendance required

Preferred Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar Business Intelligence tools

Knowledge of:

  • Database concepts (data lakes, data warehouse, etc)

Work Environment and Physical Demand:

  • Reach and grasp objects

  • Stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl

  • Use of video display terminal

  • Use of manual dexterity and fine motor skills

  • Communicate information orally and in writing

  • Receive and understand information through oral and written communication

  • Proofread and check documents for accuracy
