Peckham Inc. – Outreach and Recruiting Coordinator

SUMMARY

The Outreach and Recruiting Coordinator will be responsible for managing the sourcing of appropriate candidates for Peckham’s Team Member positions across Business Services and other lines of business, when allocated. The Team Coordinator will work with line of business managers and hiring managers to post jobs, screen candidates, perform operational and upward mobility interviews, and ensure an adequate pipeline to meet business needs. This position will have reporting and supervisory responsibilities. Intrastate travel will take place as needed to support business needs.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead recruitment and talent sourcing efforts for Team Member positions in Peckham’s Business Services division and additional contracts as assigned.
  • Support and share in responsibilities associated with related internship programs, marketing initiatives and other pertinent team tasks
  • Lead strategies and critical projects, with effective time management and measurable outcomes.
  • Prioritize the applicant experience and efforts to enhance Peckham’s paid training job programs.
  • Work with Operations staff to understand Team Member labor needs and develop a recruitment strategy to ensure the staffing demand is met.
  • Construct and develop reports that measure important metrics that assist stakeholders with understanding the resources required to meet their talent needs and Community Engagement’s impact on each specific contract
  • Foster strong internal relations with Operations, Training, Marketing/PR, IT, Human Services and Leadership
  • Construct and manage external relationships in the community, to foster heightened levels of engagement, accessibility and impact
  • Be an effective change agent, with the ability to take initiative, be creative and drive ideas to enhance overall team performance
  • Lead team efforts and assigned contracts leveraging a ‘project manager’ approach; inclusive, thorough, people leadership, clear timelines and direction, effective resolutions
  • Manage Business Services division and additional contract recruitment and support staff in a way that supports learning, growth, and enables Peckham to be flexible in meeting the operational needs of the business.
  • Coordinate responsibilities and resources necessary to complete all related tasks

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Various Workday responsibilities including daily review of candidate applications, job requisition management, support of job transfers or promotions, and revision of job posting procedures as needed.
  • Train other Peckham staff as needed on various aspects of the recruitment, pre-hire, or onboarding process.
  • Maintain process maps and standard operating procedure documents for all processes. Develop new maps and documents as needed.
  • Assume responsibility for process improvement in the pre-hire candidate experience and participate in efforts to provide a stronger new hire experience during orientation, onboarding and training.
  • Participate, coordinate and represent Peckham at events connected to Community Engagement
  • Promote Peckham’s vision, value, culture, and commitment to excellent customer services to all team members, staff, customers and stakeholders.
  • Engage in regular meetings with stakeholders including line of business leaders, Human Services coordinators, Training team staff and others.
  • Maintain and update knowledge on all Team Member jobs through active involvement and/or intentional team awareness, to ensure knowledge of jobs, potential reallocation of resources and the ability to support team operations.
  • Take initiative to help resolve team inefficiencies and cross-training opportunities – for reporting, peer and subordinates roles
  • Build process documents to support operational sustainability and overall team effectiveness.
  • Maintain a safe and manageable work environment.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise assigned Community Engagement staff and may have partial responsibility for supervision of any Recruitment Team intern(s).
  • Develop a unified team that reflects Peckham’s culture and values
  • Provide mentorship and coaching
  • Administer process improvement and strategy planning

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2 years of work experience at Peckham, or 3 years of applicable experience
  • Proficiency with Workday Recruiting functions
  • Ability to produce reports via Workday or Excel to accurately and clearly communicate metrics for the Community Engagement Team
  • Project lead experience, successful examples may be asked to furnish upon request
  • Ability to travel weekly to meet business needs, which could include local or out of state travel.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Preferred Bachelor’s Degree, or 5+ years of directly related experience
  • Experience working in the Human Services or Human Resources field
