POSITION SUMMARY: The HCM Administrator is a key member of the HCM team responsible for supporting the Workday system. This role will provide technical support to end-users, complete regularly scheduled tasks for the HCM team, and assist with HCM projects as required. 

LOCATION: Lancaster, PA

HOURS: Full Time (1.0 FTE; 40hrs/wk) Day Shift M-F (8:30AM – 5PM, or variation.  Some flex on start and end time.  Remote availability.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties:

  • Acts as a super-user for Workday system providing tier 1 support.
  • Responsible for day-to-day, ongoing maintenance and support tasks within the Workday system including, but not limited to Workday Helpdesk support, organization maintenance (supervisory, location, etc.), position control back-up, and data integrity tasks.
  • Addresses Workday Helpdesk callers in a friendly and professional manner, providing guidance by leveraging existing training materials, triaging severity, and escalating to a tier 2 HCM Analyst if needed.
  • Provides training to system end users to ensure proper understanding of system related tasks.
  • Develops training materials in conjunction with the HCM Analyst responsible for the project.
  • Assists with business processes in Workday to ensure various transactions are processed correctly.
  • Performs data entry tasks and maintains data integrity in Workday by running audit reports, analyzing data, and processing required inbox tasks.
  • Participates in the on-going evaluation of HCM business processes and functionality.
  • Develops user procedures and guidelines; documenting for internal audit purposes.
  • Assists in the review, testing and implementation of Workday system upgrades, and optimization projects.
  • Ensures service and incident tickets are appropriately assigned in the ticketing system.

SECONDARY FUNCTIONS: The following duties are considered secondary to the primary duties listed above:

  • Serves as secondary subject matter expert on HR Technology system initiatives.
  • Perform analysis into root cause of problems and resolve as appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned.



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline, or three years of system experience.
  • One year of experience in Human Resources or Information Systems with at least one year with systems experience.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel.


  • Workday HCM or equivalent experience.
