LACS Payroll Junior Associate

ROLE SUMMARY

The Payroll Junior Associate is responsible for conducting payroll activities such, basic support in payroll processes, analyze and troubleshoot issues related to payroll, and support requests, questions from colleagues and stakeholders.

For this position it is required to have the ability to manage attention to details, controls execution, support LACS markets, and work along with stakeholders to provide excellent and accurate customer service in timely manner.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage activities associated with regular execution of assigned payrolls, including collection and validation of inputs and error resolution. 
  • Process pre-payroll, on-cycle payroll, off-cycle payroll requests. 
  • Communicate payroll kick off and approval processing milestones. 
  • Validate and balance the payrolls, process changes to correct errors and/or provide updates. 
  • Distribute required reports to stakeholders during and post payroll cycle
  • Responsible for overall collection of payroll claims / overpayments / repayments working with HR, Legal and Payroll teams. 
  • Ensure all necessary audit processes are implemented and followed in order to assure Sarbanes-Oxley, external and internal audit compliance. 
  • Work with vendors, Digital, Finance and other teams as needed to ensure technology integrations, accounting interfaces and other system components are functional.
  • Respond to colleagues’ inquiries as referred by the HR Service Center.
  • Serve as back-up for other team members as required.

 BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Technical high school degree or University degree/ongoing University studies in a finance related field
  • 6 months up to 2 years of relevant functional accounting, finance or payroll experience
  • Basic Knowledge MS Office: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Good written and verbal English & French communication skills required
  • Accounting Finance knowledge
  • Desired experience in multinationals (Shared Services Centers)
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Problem solving and analytical skills
  • Capability to manage medium to complex critical scenarios
  • Internal / External audit management experience
  • Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with Workday, Dayfoce, ADP (Workforce Management), SAP or other common HCM, payroll and time / attendance systems preferred
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Problem analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Data analysis and able to prepare calculations
