The Director Workday Infrastructure is meant to be the bridge between the financial systems team and the operational finance and accounting teams. In addition to being able to effectively implement new modules and features within Workday, the Director needs to be able to understand the needs and wants of the business and translate those into a roadmap for the future and have a technical plan to implement. Liaising and ability to build relationships will be critical to this position, as well as previous experience and knowledge of Workday.


  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Ten years work experience, with at least three to five years supervisory experience

  • Strong Workday FIN experience required; Prism and Extend deployment experience preferred

  • Strong technical acumen re: financial systems, specifically Workday 

  • Project Manager experience required

  • Strong Windows based software skills with expert Excel proficiency



  • Responsible for identifying, evaluating, designing, and implementing new Workday FIN modules and enhancements, while considering the long term vision of the Finance modules and organizational needs

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in a variety of strategic and high-impact projects, guiding internal customers through strategic planning, implementation, and stabilization with no supervision

  • Assess actual internal needs and propose recommendations and/or alternative solutions to meet department goals

  • Serve as liaison between Finance, Talent and Culture, and Employee Services to coordinate cross-functional Workday process improvements

  • Understand the new Workday features, assess viability for the TOUR, and make recommendations to the financial systems team and Controller

  • Assist in the financial systems roadmap with a Workday focus

  • Liaison and operate as one of the main points of contact with the 3rd party implementation consultants during their work

  • Work with the team to optimize the use of the 3rd party consultant hours

  • Work with the financial systems team on implementation from a technical perspective – ability to assist in the technical implementation and development (essentially speaks both languages – technical and operational)

  • Assist with general financial systems tasks where needed, such as security, reporting, Adaptive enhancements, etc.

  • Develop and encourage team to pursue new tasks and challenges related to overall departmental goals and objectives

  • Special projects or other duties as assigned
