The Chief Finance Office:

The CFO at PJT comprises of Finance, Internal Audit, Risk Management, Treasury and Tax functions.
Based in London, the International Finance team is responsible for the financial, regulatory and tax reporting requirements of the UK, Spanish, German, French and Hong Kong legal entities.

The financial reporting team in London consists of five people reporting into the Head of International Finance. A position has arisen due to expansion of the International operations covering the following:

  • Assisting in preparation and posting daily & monthly journal entries and thereby ensuring that the books and records of the relevant entities are up to date and accurate at all times;

  • Assistance in all aspects of the monthly close process;

  • Understanding of journal entries for local GAAP and US GAAP accounting;

  • Assisting with reporting and disclosure requirements prescribed by the US Finance team under US GAAP for quarterly and annual reporting;

  • Perform general ledger account analysis of significant balance sheet and income statement accounts on a monthly basis;

  • Preparation and submission of tax filings including but not limited to corporation tax and VAT in each jurisdiction;

  • The monitoring of our global transfer pricing policy and its impact on revenue fee splits;

  • Ensuring all local tax reporting is understood and adhered to through self-research and liaising with local external tax advisors;

  • Preparation of data and information for US and local tax filings;

  • Assisting in preparation of the annual financial statements and dealing with the various stakeholders involved in the annual and interim audits.


We seek to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent, and have excellent academic, leadership and extracurricular records. In addition, qualified candidates will possess the following:

  • Newly qualified accountant with hands on work experience in accounts preparation, who has a desire to or is currently specialising in tax accounting

  • Strong technical accounting and regulatory reporting requirements skills, specifically with a keen interest in tax accounting

  • Strong UKGAAP, IFRS and overview of USGAAP knowledge

  • Strong qualitative and analytical skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal

  • Strong working knowledge of Excel

  • Knowledge of Workday financial management system preferred but not essential

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, quality work in a clear and concise manner

  • A desire to work in a team environment, often under pressure

  • Self-starter with enquiring mind and willingness to question
