As the leader of our Workday systems team, the Mgr – HR Systems owns the company’s utilization of Workday HCM (Human Capital Management). In order for Plexus to achieve its growth objectives, our HRIS must enable and complement our talent processes.  As the global leader, collaborate on the continued management and continuous improvement of Workday system utilization.  Lead a team of Analysts through the installation, maintenance, configuration, and data integrity of our systems and processes.     

Key Job Accountabilities:

  • Promote proactive approaches using the HRIS to solve business needs/problems, while also enhancing the understanding and acceptance of the HRIS capabilities.  Conduct high level investigation and analysis to identify business system deficiencies and initiate corrective actions (short and long term) to resolve those deficiencies.

  • Lead the HRIS team in successful implementation of all selected systems/modules on a global basis, maintaining established budgets and timelines.  Drive change management throughout the implementation process to ensure global best practices are developed and overall HR buy-in is achieved.

  • Plan, budget and forecast HRIS needs and applications on a global basis.  Maintain awareness of vendor plans and the potential impact of those plans on current and future HRIS functionality.

  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with HRIS constituents, including senior management, and the HRIS customer base.

  • Accountable to execute on Plexus’ Best People strategy, leaders will focus on evaluating potential, driving succession planning and ensuring that their employees receive the development and coaching required to realize their full potential.

Additional Accountabilities:

  • Perform project management duties that support strategic initiatives as created by the HR Leadership Team

  • Maintain strong relationships with the Workday vendor and ensure vendor accountability to Plexus’ successful use of the system

  • Research, design, develop, and test new or underutilized functionality of Workday

  • Maintain strong relationships within the Workday community and participate in user groups, drawing best practices back to Plexus.

  • Generate strong technical and leadership development opportunities for current staff, in partnership with their development objectives

Education/Experience Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required; five (5) years progressive experience with human resources information systems may be substituted for the education requirement.

  • HRIS Administration experience with Workday Human Capital Management

  • Capable of creating custom reports, BIRT Reports, calculated fields, condition rules and eligibility rules in Workday or equivalent HR application.

  • Minimum 7 years’ overall experience, including 5+ years’ with system management and/or deployment

  • Experience as project lead or manager of a HR technology system implementation preferred.
