The Accounting Assistant will work with the Accounts Payable & Accounting teams, responsible for tracking vendor expenses and preparing month end analysis. The ideal candidate is an energetic self-starter, team player, and an efficient multitasker in a rapidly growing and evolving environment


  • Responsible for determining timely and accurate month-end accounts payable and supplier accruals/prepaids through analysis of vendor invoice transactions
  • Verifies the accuracy of vendor invoices and confirms that the correct GL codes are used
  • Assists in preparing monthly workpapers and other supporting documentation for individual expense accounts
  • Prepares A/P Aging report and related trend analysis, helps resolve discrepancies, and communicates areas for improvement 
  • Assists with entering general ledger journal entries as needed
  • Assists with fixed asset accounting, creating assets and preparing related depreciation schedule
  • Assists with real estate accounting and proper recognition of lease related expenses
  • Responsible for properly coding, posting, and reconciling cash on a daily basis
  • Coordinates with office managers of clinical sites in regards to regulations


  • EXCEL ASSESSMENT included in interview process.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Fundamental knowledge of general ledger systems, accounting debit/credit entries, and P&L review
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in accounting, accounts payable, or financial analysis
  • Workday experience preferred
  • Health Care experience a plus
  • Advanced Excel skills required
  • Strong analytic/quantitative skills, with the ability to gather data and supporting information and create cohesive outputs
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, problem solve, and interact with all levels of management
  • Must have strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional, organized, dependable team player
