Summary

The Assistant Controller will report to the VP, Corporate Controller and collaborate on the preparation of the company’s financial reporting, forecasts, and financial analysis. The ideal candidate is an energetic self-starter, team player, and an efficient multitasker who is committed to growth in a rapidly growing and evolving environment

Description

  • Help manage aspects of the day-to-day financial management of the company
  • Assist the Controller with the preparation, analysis, and presentation of all financial reports, including regular cash flow reporting
  • Assist with annual budget preparation, reforecasts, and reconciliation of actual vs. budget results
  • Generate financial data analytics to help clinical and corporate department leads understand/optimize performance, manage budgets, and identify cost savings opportunities
  • Act as key liaison for year-end audit and assist with corporate tax analysis and schedule preparation
  • Work with the accounting team to create internal controls, policies, and process efficiencies and ensure enforcement
  • Review, analyze & interpret financial data and make strategic suggestions

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in accounting.
  • Minimum 3-5 years in a supervisory role; 7-10 years related experience in accounting/financial analytics
  • Solid knowledge of GAAP and experience with internal controls preferred
  • Workday experience preferred
  • Health Care experience a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Advanced Excel skills required
  • Possess an analytical mindset, be highly detail oriented, and able to process large amounts of data/ identify trends
  • Be team-oriented and dedicated to the operations of the department and constant improvement
  • Have excellent organizational and time management skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • Possess strong leadership and decision making skills
  • Have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and possess the ability to present reports and teach concepts in an easy to follow manner.
