Summary
The Manager, People Operations Information Systems (POIS) oversees the administration, maintenance, and continuous development of Workday HCM. This role will serve as the first point of contact for the business and partner closely with various key stakeholders to ensure system growth and scalability as well as troubleshooting issues. The Manager, POIS drives continuous improvement by recognizing the needs of HR and the business, identifying gaps and potential fits, and managing business processes with creative solutions and successful delivery to meet business requirements. The Manager, POIS will foster strong collaboration between POIS, People Operations, Technology and other teams, proactively identifying and addressing cross-functional impacts of any design or configuration changes.
Description
- Lead the POIS Team; ensuring the ongoing performance and development of team members. Manage and direct the work of a team responsible for the operational delivery across a broad range of critical employee life-cycle experiences such as onboarding, performance management, employee movements and offboarding, as well as payroll, benefits.
- Manage security/roles/access for all end users ensuring the safety and confidentiality of employee and company data. Oversee and approves system access requests ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures.
- Partner with the People Team for ongoing enhancements and maintenance for several Workday modules (Core HCM, Time/Absence, Talent, Benefits, Advanced Compensation, etc).
- Provide regular Workday support to the People team through frequent auditing and running custom reports/dashboards. Audits include job profiles, census, org structures, etc.
- Act as the Workday POPs lead when integrating to third-party applications.
- Project manage implementations and upgrades through collaborating with key stakeholders.
- Partner with the Technology Team on scaling any shared processes (integrations, access, security groups, etc).
- Partner with POP and IT leaders to seek out opportunities for continuous improvement and develop long term scalable solutions that help improve POP processes and streamline user experience by rethinking existing configurations and deploying new features.
- Own vendor relationships including but not limited to Workday contracting agencies, etc.
- Manage vendor POs and any internal procurement processing.
- Interact with POPs technology vendors on issues and issue resolution.
- Participate or leads cross functional projects related to POPs initiatives.
- Recommend and implement workflow processes and captures and conducts data analysis of HR and employee data, business trends and results.
- Support People Team processes such as performance management, talent management and benefits enrollment.
- Act as an active member of the Workday community – staying ahead of Workday updates, fixes and resolutions and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Develop user procedures, guidelines and documentation. Train users and existing users on new processes/functionality. Create and maintain any Workday job aids/guides for the business.
- Develop comprehensive project requests (including budget/ROI analyses), prioritize all departmental projects and requests, and delegates and monitors project completion to assigned deadline.
- Manage the preparation and distribution of ad hoc, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports regarding human capital data, and External Compliance obligations including EEO Reporting.

Qualifications
- 3-5 years' experience related to Workday implementation and management of enterprise HR applications as well as experience in handling Workday change requests, defects, incidents, and end user (employees + business partner) concerns. Workday Pro Certifications a plus
- 2+ years experience managing a team.
- Advanced Proficiency in Workday modules (Core HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Time-Tracking, and Advanced Compensation) Experience with Workday Financials a plus.
- Proficiency in configuring and maintaining business processes (BPs), calculated fields, and security roles within Workday.
- Experience with Workday integration tools such as Enterprise Interface Builders (EIBs), Workday Studio, and Report-as-a-Service (RaaS).
- Ability to manage and troubleshoot integrations with third-party systems like payroll providers, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and benefits platforms.
- Proficiency in data migration and conversion processes, ensuring data integrity during system upgrades or implementations.
- Advanced skills in Workday's reporting tools, including creating custom reports, dashboards, and analytics to support HR decision-making.
- In-depth knowledge of Workday security configurations, including user roles, permissions, and data access controls.
- Experience in maintaining system configurations, applying updates, and ensuring compliance with internal and external data security standards.
- Proven track record in leading Workday implementation projects, from requirement gathering and system design to testing and deployment.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage timelines, resources, and stakeholder expectation
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to clearly articulate messages with all levels in the organization, including breaking down complex technical topics for target audiences.
- Extensive experience in providing comprehensive support, configuration and administration for the Workday system particularly in a multi-location, or hourly workforce environment.
- Experience managing Workday cycles (e.g., merit, bonus, performance review, OE).
- Experience with Workday Learning content management or integrations.
