Job Summary:
Responsible for supporting the Data and Systems department part of GPS Operations with data collection, maintenance, processing, and analysis. These data may include but are not limited to event trends, enrollment and retention tracking, and survey creation and collection. Furthermore, this position provides support to the following systems: Salesforce, Target X, Dialpad phone system, SMS Magic, CODA, Canva, and Workday. The position reports directly to the Director, Data Analysts and Systems Management.

Job Description:
The Data Operations Specialist works in close partnership with the Director, Data Analysts and Systems Management to support the operational and data needs of the Graduate and Professional Studies Operations division at PLNU.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Data Analyst:Â

Support and maintain data standards to ensure data enters the system accurately, is cleansed appropriately and passes to the campus database system properly

Track and report statistics to GPS leadership and academic departments
-
Input inquiries and maintain accuracy of student information in the Salesforce
-
Manage ongoing data clean up in Salesforce and WorkdayÂ
-
Maintain weekly/monthly/semester/annual updates of reports, dashboards, and spreadsheets:Â
-
Ensure data integrity by reviewing reports and performance indicators to identify issues and improve logic
Processing Support:
-
Manage and maintain Group Assignments for Salesforce object ownership
-
Coordinate with Records and Grad Processing on deployment and upkeep of Deferrals and Withdrawals as it pertains to Salesforce application updates

Manage and create Forms in Form Assembly for proper data input into Salesforce

Coordinate Course Payment Connection by processing Prepaid course payments to Prepaid applications so that payment is associated with Workday student account and applied toward tuition

Collaborate with GPS Enrollment and Marketing departments to process and upload mass prospect lists into Salesforce CRM

Support the implementation and maintenance of the CAS applications within the Liaison Webadmit software

Support the integration between Liaison Webadmit systems and Salesforce for graduate and professional study applications
Systems Support
-
Serve as 1st response for Salesforce or Workday support requests from Enrollment/Retention staff. Escalate to Systems director as needed

Maintain inventory of technology for Graduate and Professional Studies (monitors, docking stations, iPADs, etc.)

Manage and maintain SMS processes within Salesforce, including licenses, access, and templates
-
Train users in the proper use of Telecommunication, Workday, and Salesforce Systems and set up periodic training courses for users in areas where improvement or clarity may be required

Support Retention staff with Workday reporting needs as it pertains to rosters, registration, and assignments

Provide technical support to New Student Orientation and Information eventsÂ

Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree preferred or relevant and equivalent work experience

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

Commitment to a customer-oriented provision of service

Strong technical skillset in data input and analysis

Must possess strong detail and time management skills. Ability to work independently and accomplish tasks under deadline stresses

Understanding of and commitment to the spiritual mission of Point Loma Nazarene University

Excellent organizational skills, accuracy, neatness, and attention to detail

 Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and find solutions to issues that may arise

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The work is primarily sedentary and may require sitting for extended periods of time. Use of computer equipment: computer keyboard, mouse, and monitor. Vision to read documents, email and other correspondence, and reports on paper and computer monitor. Hearing and speaking to communicate effectively with others in person and by phone. Will also stand, stoop, push, pull, and lift up to 10 lbs throughout the day.
