Configure and maintain Workday HRIS, including core HCM, Benefits, Absence, Compensation, Talent/Performance, Recruiting and Reporting/Analytics.  Evaluate new system functionality and recommend solutions in response to business requirements.  Lead related implementation activities including configuration, testing, training, change management, and communication.  Responsible for day-to-day system support with HR Business Partners and managers, troubleshooting, and other projects or responsibilities as required.

Workday Design, Configuration, and Support

  • As a Workday HRIS Analyst, develop excellent knowledge of Polaris configuration across all modules

  • Consult with HR Business Partners and Center of Excellence Leaders to understand business needs and develop Workday solutions to address them

  • Ensure prioritization of change requests and evaluate the system-wide impact of any proposed enhancements

  • Act as subject matter expert, providing troubleshooting and other support for end users, escalate complex issues as needed

  • Perform ongoing maintenance regarding security, tenant set-up, data updates (EIBs), business processes, and reporting

  • Serve as a Named Support Contact to log cases and partner with Workday Support to test solutions

  • Analyze internal business processes to ensure optimal configuration and to facilitate a continual return on investment

  • Actively participate in Workday Community, customer groups and networking events; leverage Workday network to identify best practices that would benefit Polaris

Reporting/Analytics

  • Act as global reporting expert – utilize various types of reports (Advanced, Matrix, Composite), calculated fields, scheduled output, etc to deliver creative solutions

  • Participate in Metrics Steering Team meetings; partner with internal Workday team to develop and deliver prioritized data solutions

  • Become familiar with Talent Optimization and People Analytics capabilities; partner with internal teams to create recommended roadmap

  • Lead design and implementation of roadmap items as assigned

Bi-Annual Upgrades/Enhancements

  • Lead bi-annual release process, including project management of the cross-functional team and testing

  • Thoroughly review enhancement and functionality changes, highlighting items of significance along with recommendations of enhancements to adopt, including timing

  • Configure and test new enhancements and related changes; ensure all delegated testing is complete across the modules

  • Assist with the preparation of training materials or instructions if necessary

  • Communicate and/or train users on new features or enhancements

Annual Processes

  • Support annual configuration required for benefits open enrollment, compensation planning and performance management, consulting with internal Workday team or functional areas on content decisions

  • Test and troubleshoot configurations and business processes

  • Assist with the preparation of training materials or instructions if necessary

  • Conduct system training on new features or enhancements

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:

  • 4 year degree (or equivalent experience)

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • 3 – 5 years of Workday-specific experience (including design, configuration, testing)

  • Other HR experience a plus (benefits, compensation, talent, etc.)

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Advanced knowledge of Workday HRIS
