The Role  

ProofPoint is seeking an experienced Senior Workday Analyst to join our HR Technology team, focusing on the Talent Management and Benefits modules within Workday. This role is key in optimizing our HR systems and processes, supporting the end-to-end management of talent development and benefits administration. The ideal candidate will bring deep Workday expertise, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for enhancing the employee experience through innovative HR solutions that align with ProofPoint's mission to protect organizations against cyber threats.

Your day to day

Workday System Management:

  • Configure, maintain, and optimize Workday modules including Talent Management and Benefits to align with ProofPoint’s business needs.
  • Collaborate with HR and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into Workday solutions, implementing configuration updates.
  • Ensure data integrity, conduct regular audits, and troubleshoot issues within the relevant Workday modules.

Process Improvement & Optimization:

  • Analyze existing processes and workflows within talent management and benefits administration, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Design and implement process enhancements, automating workflows where possible to increase efficiency and user satisfaction.
  • Lead system testing and regression testing for system updates and new functionality, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

End User Support & Training:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for HR and managers for Workday-related inquiries in the Talent Management and Benefits modules.
  • Develop and deliver training materials, user guides, and knowledge-sharing sessions for HR and end-users to maximize system utilization.
  • Provide tier-2 support for complex system issues, collaborating with Workday or Managed Support as needed to resolve issues in a timely manner.

Reporting & Analytics:

  • Develop and maintain custom reports within Workday to support Talent Management and Benefits reporting needs.

Project Management:

  • Lead or support HRIS projects, including new module implementations, system upgrades, and process redesigns.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and documentation for new configurations and enhancements.
  • Ensure timely and successful delivery of HRIS projects, managing stakeholders' expectations and communicating progress effectively.

What you bring to the team

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Alternatively, a combination of education and relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 5+ years of experience working with Workday, with a focus on Talent Management and Benefits modules.  Workday recruiting configuration experience a plus.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes and best practices, particularly in recruitment and employee benefits.
  • Proven experience in system configuration, troubleshooting, and report development within Workday.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Workday configuration, business process design, and report-writing.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and data analysis.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.

Other Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into user-friendly language.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Base Pay Ranges:

SF Bay Area, New York City Metro Area:

Base Pay Range: 93,730.00 – 147,290.00 USD

California (excludes SF Bay Area), Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Washington DC Metro, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Texas, Washington, Virginia, and Alaska:

Base Pay Range: 74,550.00 – 117,150.00 USD

All other cities and states excluding those listed above:

Base Pay Range: 66,640.00 – 104,720.00 USD
