Where We Need You:

We are seeking a Director to join our Technology Consulting practice focused on Workday Financials in any of our Protiviti office locations (with a preference for the Central Region).

Do Your Talents Include the Following?

  • Demonstrated experience with:
    • Leading / managing future state design and process improvement projects focused on Record to Report (R2R) and Order to Cash (O2C) business functions.
    • Functional and systems experience focused on R2R and O2C business functions.
    • Serving as a solution architect and workstream lead for R2R and O2C during the design and implementation of Workday.
    • Serving as a project manager over large, complex Workday Financials implementations.
    • Experience designing and implementing Workday.  Key responsibilities as part of these initiatives include leading and performing requirements definition, facilitating design workshops, testing, data conversion, training, cutover, and post go-live support.
    • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their financial reporting and data management requirements.
    • Design and architect Workday Financials configurations, including the FDM, workflows/BPs, account structures, and integrations with other systems.
    • Implement best practices for Workday Financials and FDM to ensure data accuracy, security, and compliance with accounting standards.
    • Conduct gap analysis between business needs and Workday capabilities, recommending solutions or enhancements.
    • Stay up to date on the latest Workday Financials, FDM, Accounting Center, Adaptive, and Prism features and functionality.
    • Leading and performing application control reviews and risk assessments for customers running Workday.
    • Assessing Workday in the context of a Sarbanes-Oxley compliance effort is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Workday Accounting Center, Adaptive and/or Prism is a plus.
  • Knowledge of segregation of duties concepts, sensitive access and experience in user access security including design and configuration of Workday.
  • Establishing and cultivating business relationships and a professional network, including with senior executives. 
  • Successfully pursuing business development opportunities and identifying and implementing strategies to obtain new work or clientele.
  • Strong network and relationship with Workday Account Executives and Services leadership and demonstrated experience leveraging that network to identify and bring in new Workday opportunities.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop Workday implementation and optimization proposals and lead oral presentations for potential clients
  • Demonstrated ability building a Workday practice including training other team members, developing methodologies and tools to facilitate Workday implementations, making them more efficient and consistent.
  • Ability to translate and communicate issues, risks or challenges to client personnel, including executives. 
  • Leadership and direct supervisory experience of teams including conducting performance appraisals, mentoring and coaching, oversight and review of work, coordination across teams, and understanding how to motivate.  

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, strong written and oral skills, and willingness to present on a variety of functional or technical topics to broad audiences
  • Ability to work with a diverse portfolio of clients across industries
  • Advanced project management and status reporting capabilities
  • Ability to network and build relationships

Your Educational and Professional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Finance/Accounting, Information Technology/MIS, Engineering).
  • 15+ years working in a related field or professional services.
  • Workday certified in Financials is a must, with certifications in Accounting Center, Adaptive, and/or Prism as a plus.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications with specific emphasis on Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Secondary emphasis on Visio and Access.

It is expected that you will reside within a reasonable daily commute of your assigned Protiviti home office by your start date. Protiviti employees work in a hybrid environment which means you will be required to work from a variety of locations including your Protiviti home office, an in-town and/or out-of-town client site, and/or from a remote location such as your residence. It is expected that you will be available to be physically present at the required work location and that you will have access to reliable transportation.

 Protiviti operates in a hybrid environment. Travel can occur throughout the month based upon client requests/commitments. Travel may include suburban, regional, or out of state locations.

A new hire receives up to 20 days of CTO per calendar year. For every 3 years of service, our people receive an additional 3 days of CTO, up to a maximum of 30 days per year. Our people also receive up to 11 paid holidays each calendar year. We offer the opportunity to contribute to our company 401(k) savings and investment plan, with an employer match of 50% on the first 6% of your contributions for eligible employees.
