Job Description & Summary

At PwC, our people in business application consulting specialise in consulting services for a variety of business applications, helping clients optimise operational efficiency. These individuals analyse client needs, implement software solutions, and provide training and support for seamless integration and utilisation of business applications, enabling clients to achieve their strategic objectives.

As a Workday consulting generalist at PwC, you will focus on providing a broad range of consulting services across various Workday applications. You will provide consulting services to clients, analysing their needs, implementing software solutions, and offering training and support for effective utilisation of Workday applications. Your versatile knowledge will allow you to assist clients in optimising operational efficiency and achieving their strategic objectives.

This role will be responsible for helping to build and lead the Mexico City Workday Security team, and performing the following responsibilities: 

 

  • Define target team structure, skill sets, and lead talent acquisition efforts to build-out Mexico City based Workday security team 

 

  • Refine Workday security implementation methodology in a manner that leverages Mexico City security team for client engagements 

 

  • Design and implement Workday Security based on client requirements 

 

  • Evaluate security risks of existing client Workday HCM, Payroll, and Financials implementations 

 

  • Provide security related operational support for Workday implementations including hypercare support under defined client service level specifications.   

 

  • Analyze Workday security controls using relevant control frameworks such as internal practice aides, SOX, NIST, CSF, GDPR and/or ISO.  

 

  • Work effectively and collaboratively with larger Workday implementation teams and across implementation functional workstreams 

 

  • Collaborative performing oversight of direct reports and supporting team members perform above responsibilities 

 

  • Develop and execute effective operational practices that support effective coordination across different time zones and geographically disperse team. 

 

  • Define and operationalize Workday security delivery processes able to support scaled Mexico City team growth year over year

Capability:  

  • Strong understanding of Workday implementation methodology, data model and security concepts relevant to implementation activities 

 

  • Proven experience clarifying client Workday security requirements through discovery sessions 

 

  • Demonstrate ability to identify and address client needs, including developing and sustaining meaningful client relationships, and understanding of the client's business. 

 

  • Ability to translate client security requirements into prototype security configurations through the definition and/or configuration of security groups, security policies and role assignments. 

 

  • Demonstrates thorough understanding of Workday configurable security,  and is able to clearly communicate Workday capabilities and Workday security design to clients and team members.   

 

  • Demonstrates ability to adapt a work program and practice aid, as well as perform security and control assessments, using PwC's proprietary or other relevant tools to evaluate risks related to internal controls over security and financial/operation processes.  

 

  • Capability to both perform and manage engagements while training team members. 

 

  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills, and able to work with global teams independently with minimal supervision and a strong sense of ownership. 

 

  • Passionate about client service, quality, and teaming.  Collaborative and excited about partnering with the US Firm to build out the Acceleration Center team in Mexico. 

 

  • Excellent English oral communication, professional presence and tactical organization 

 

  • Strong Workday network.  Able to leverage internal Firm relationships and external Workday ecosystem relationships to build local Mexico City security team through recruiting and team building activities. 

 

Experience:  

 

  • 8 to 10 year total relevant experience 

 

  • 3+ years of Workday experience
