What value do you bring as a Consultant?

An important part of our business is delivering complex Finance transformation through the latest cloud technology. As a Workday Global Alliance Partner, PwC has a long standing relationship with Workday over the past 10+ years, which spans hundreds of clients across all multiple industries. In recent years PwC has extended their services to provide local Workday Financials capabilities in the Swedish market.

Ideally, you are already certified for Workday Finance, FDM and Engagement Manager. However, if you have experience working with other Finance ERP platforms (SAP, Microsoft, Oracle or NetSuite etc.), this is an excellent opportunity to transfer your skills to work with an exciting new platform. PwC has one of the fastest growing Workday Finance Practices in EMEA and needs thought leaders like yourself to help pave the way for our clients and further develop our Workday Practice.

Your role and the responsibilities you will be entrusted with varies, not only depending on the nature of the projects you may be involved in, but also based on your own experiences and interests. However, as a consultant focusing on Workday Financials you will:

  • Take part in or lead complex client engagements involving both colleagues from PwC Management Consulting and client resources, taking on the role as project manager, work stream leader or functional lead. Sometimes driving the work from setting the transformation strategies, to supporting the full lifecycle of Workday delivery projects

  • Build strong client relationships and work together with senior colleagues to drive sales e.g. through identifying add-on sales opportunities on projects and supporting proposal work

  • Actively contribute to internal development and our ways of working. As a practice, we are always looking for ways to increase the value we bring to our clients and become an even better place to work, and we encourage our team to take initiative in order to succeed

  • Take the opportunity to involve yourself in PwC Global Workday Community, bringing insights to local team and clients and participating in building competence and methodology

What are we looking for in this position?

To succeed in the role we see that you are highly analytical with a strong ability to solve complex problems. You are motivated by facing new challenges and you are comfortable with taking on responsibility. Furthermore, you have a solid track record as a high performer and you have relevant experience from working with Finance functions as a consultant or as part of the Finance function, e.g. Business Controller, Financial Controller or similar. Perhaps you have worked as a functional consultant before stepping into a line role and now want to go back to being a consultant. 

You have a genuine interest in Finance transformation and realize that cloud based financial management systems, like Workday and similar, are fundamental elements of Finance transformation services. You have hands-on experience (level depending on seniority) from full lifecycle delivery of Workday Financials or equivalent experience working with similar ERP systems, including e.g. SAP, Microsoft, Oracle or NetSuite.

We believe that the below list is required to be able to fill the position: 

  • 8+ years experience

  • Academic degree in Management, Business, Finance or similar

  • Extensive Project/ Programme Management experience

  • ERP or Finance Systems Implementation experience

  • Ideally, experience of managing in a Finance transformation environment

  • Experience of developing multi-level planning and managing a delivery team against this

  • Ability to influence at senior executive level and engage stakeholders at all levels of a client organization

  • Ability to adapt to changes and unforeseen events during the implementation lifecycle and still deliver for the client

  • Commercial awareness with experience of scoping and pricing projects

  • Experience of managing and developing a delivery team

  • Ideally Workday Finance and Engagement Manager Certified

  • Fluency in English and Swedish is required
