About the Team

The People Technologies and Transformation team support the delivery of the firmwide strategy and align with the firmwide transformation agenda; bringing together business understanding, human insight and innovative technology to meet the business’s changing needs and expectations. They drive the benefits of transformation to enhance our people experience through: strategic use of people technologies; simplified and consistent policies and processes; alternative delivery models; and innovative data analytics and insights. 

This role is part of the People Technologies & Alternate Delivery Model (ADM) Transformation sub team.

About the Role

The Business Analyst team reports to the PT&T Workday Innovation and Engagement lead and Pete Wareham (People Technologies & ADM team leader), acting as the subject matter experts on our people system, Workday. 

This Business Analyst position has the responsibility of leading on specific modules within Workday, whether this be Recruitment / Absence / Talent / HCM etc. The successful candidate will have to work with key stakeholders internally at PwC within their specific area of expertise, leading on the deployment of Workday functionality and ensuring changes are aligned to both the People technology strategy whilst also solving business problems. The successful candidate will also work closely with the Global Application Management Support (AMS) team and client facing Workday consultants to ensure the smooth delivery of projects / enhancements. 

Alongside this, the successful candidate is expected to drive transformation in their specific area – simplifying Workday processes and ensuring all new Workday functionality is explored and delivered in a consultative manner. 

Core responsibilities: 

  • Act as technical lead and subject matter expert for a specific area of Workday, working with key stakeholders to deliver projects and enhancements 

  • Forward-looking mindset, keeping up to date with Workday developments to consult with key stakeholders to lead on technology transformation

  • Simplify existing processes within the subject matter area

  • Look to automate where possible, with the support of the Workday Operations Senior Associate, to drive efficiencies

  • Ensure timely completion of tickets raised with AMS, managing stakeholder expectations in relation to the completion of activities

Essential skills: 

  • Workday systems knowledge and understanding 

  • Technical Business Analyst background – this role would suit someone who has an IT background 

  • Experience in system design, implementation and continuous management 

  • Experience in managing numerous projects that have been delivered on time, meeting business requirements, with high customer and team satisfaction and have involved working across dispersed teams

  • Ability to quickly establish credibility and influence within dynamic IT business groups 

  • Awareness of system design and change management impacts on systems, and integrated systems/landscape 

  • Proactive in developing and implementing strategies that significantly mitigate risk 

  • Strong negotiation skills and an ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels, as well as with 3rd parties
