Job Description & Summary

A career in our Workday Technology practice, within Workday Consulting services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients leverage Workday technology as a tool to enhance and unify Human Resources, talent management, and finance. We focus on understanding the forces shaping their business and developing industry tailored solutions that support our clients through the entire lifecycle of the Workday implementation.

In joining, you’ll be a part of a team that helps our clients utilize integration, data conversion, extend, prism and other tool sets to enable the broader Workday solution. Workday technology consulting work streams are a pivotal part of our projects that allow for the migration from legacy solutions, interoperability with third party solutions, provide reporting, insights and analytics, and extend the Workday solution to support client use cases.

Data and Analytics, Business Administration/Management, Human Resources Management, Organizational Management, Computer and Information Science, Statistics or Mathematics

Workday Financial Core, Workday Prism Analytics, Workday Accounting Center, Workday Advanced Reporting, Workday Financial Integration  

  

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:

Demonstrates a thorough level of abilities with, and/or a proven record of success as both an individual contributor and team member, identifying and addressing client needs by: 

  • Ability to read and write SQL queries;

  • Familiarity with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop ecosystems (i.e. HDFS, MapReduce, Hive and Spark); 

  • Experience working with large data volumes, transforming data using windows functions such as CONCAT, COALESCE, CASE, TO_STRING, etc. to create complex calculated field logic in Prism;

  • Experience combining/transforming datasets using joins, group bys, filters, unions, etc.  

  • Collaborating with clients to identify, define and clarify technical requirements into actionable development plan that conforms to best practices;

  • Understand complex use cases that involve reporting and analytics to provide clients with the most optimal solution ; 

  • Being familiar with Software-as-a-Service(SaaS) application delivery on a global level; 

  • Experience working in a global/virtual team environment; 

  • Demonstrating knowledge of Agile methodologies such as Scrum, XP, and Kanban; 

  • Demonstrating proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Visio; 

  • Demonstrating strong communication skills, both written and verbal; 

  • Experience leading teams and managing timeline and deliverables; 

  • Engaging with 3rd parties such as upstream or downstream application teams, business line SME’s, cross-functional workstreams, etc.  as appropriate to uncover any dependencies, risks, and coordinate testing scenarios/plans; 

  • Working with a testing team to create testing strategies, scenarios and acceptance criteria to validate the requirements are met; 

  • Establishing that identified defects are resolved in a timely fashion during testing phases; 

  • Exhibiting significant Financials (FINS) reporting/analytics experience in a fast-paced Hi-Tech Environment, preferably in the Workday space;  

  • Showcasing proven experience of delivering support to a global user population; and,

  • Working across a distributed technical landscape to design, develop, test and support Prism Analytics solutions.
