We have a fantastic opportunity for a committed and experienced Talent Acquisition Advisor. This role will be part of a newly established team and will give you the opportunity to assist in the development of QBE’s Internal Talent Acquisition offering. In this role you will be responsible for developing attraction strategies to attract the best talent for Corporate/Supporting Functions, support the Talent Acquisition Business Partner and meet organisational business objectives. Provide talent acquisition support throughout full life-cycle recruitment process, including the proactive identification of internal and external candidates to meet the organisation’s talent needs.

Primary Responsibilities

Strategy and Planning
•Creation of talent pools through a variety of methods including but not limited to LinkedIn, referrals, and networking events
•Assist with identifying opportunities for continuous improvement through effective issue escalation and recommendations
•Support project activities as required
Policy, Process and Procedures
•Manage end-to-end talent acquisition process for assigned managers including conducting job briefs, setting search strategy, sourcing, screening and recommending candidates to build effective talent pipelines through proactive recruiting techniques
•Manage multiple sourcing requisition simultaneously whilst also knowing when to prioritize
•Support the TABP’s by screening applicants and identifying qualified candidate based on technical criteria & qualifications
•Utilise recruitment skills by identifying internal and external candidates, and narrowing the applicant pool to ensure recommended candidates meet assigned managers’ hiring needs and business requirements
•Build and maintain ongoing pipeline of talent by networking with internal and external candidates, as well as internal leaders, our HR community and the Talent team and utilise innovative sourcing strategies to identify, attract and engage talent
•Source high-calibre candidates that meet the required criteria from various sourcing channels including but not limited to external job boards and social media platforms e.g. LinkedIn, Facebook
•Talent pooling and building pipelines of candidates for future business needs including proactively sourcing candidates to support our Diversity & Inclusiveness priorities
•Provide an exceptional candidate experience from application through to onboarding, including the effective management of offer process including salary negotiations
•Contribute to a positive candidate experience through responsiveness, open & regular communication and fostering interest in working for the organisation
•Adhere to and promote all company and recruitment policies, processes and procedures
•Maintain confidentiality of private/sensitive information
Environmental Awareness/Customer Focus
•Deliver personalised and quality service by developing and maintaining working relationships with assigned department managers and anticipating needs to ensure department recommends talented and diverse candidates for hiring selection
•Optimise external network by maintaining a visible profile in the market and fostering ongoing communication with prospective candidates
•Promote the organisation as the employer of choice and act as a brand ambassador to all potential candidates by providing regular, relevant, and engaging correspondence
•Support all Inclusion and Diversity initiatives to ensure we attract talented people from the breadth of our communities in which we operate
Technical Performance
•Utilise a vast variety of sourcing channels to ensure the organisation attract and select the best talent for every role
•Research alternative sourcing and pipelining methods and make recommendations to the Recruitment Partner and hiring managers
•Efficient use of Workday and other recruitment related systems including adhering to correct process
•Providing visibility on candidate activity and present the reports to the central recruitment team
•Meeting/exceeding KPI role requirements

Preferred Competencies/Skills

• Effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills including the ability to build effective working relationships
•Ability to think creatively
•Motivational, inspirational and enthusiastic approach to teamwork
•Strong time management and prioritisation skills

Preferred Experience

• Recruitment experience ideally from Insurance or within a large, complex organisation
•Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
•Workday experience preferential but not essential

Preferred Knowledge

• Understanding of recruitment principles
•Working knowledge of applicant tracking systems, as well as digital and virtual platforms to identify, attract and engage candidates beneficial
