Role Description

The HR Coordinator is responsible for providing an exceptional level of support to employees and managers at QuadReal across all our offices in Canada and internationally. The HR Coordinator plays a key role in the management of documentation and data for all HR business processes including onboarding, offboarding, employee changes and recruitment.

The ideal candidate is passionate about HR and delivering a valuable service to the business. You will enjoy proactively identifying opportunities for improvement, have an eye for detail and a flare for innovative thinking.


  • Provide HR support to employees and managers across all offices, responding to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, programs, general employee relations, and redirecting as needed to appropriate team members.
  • Manage and organize the employee’s initial on-boarding including partnership with other functional teams for tools, access and rewarding experience.
  • Lead the off-boarding process including but not limited to HRIS changes, payroll & benefit updates, exit interview & equipment retrieval in partnership with IT.
  • Assist and contribute to the implementation of new initiatives and projects across HR (i.e., mentorship, research, training, job architecture) and compile information into reports using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Follow-up, manage and create employment related documentation as needed and ensure corresponding updates are populated within HRIS system.
  • Facilitate the collection of and ensure all new hire information is accurate and uploaded into Workday.
  • Prepare employment verification letters and other correspondence, reports and presentations as required.
  • Support payroll by accurately processing changes in our HRIS and tracking these changes on a bi-weekly basis.
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition Team and the HR Business Partners with position management, staffing updates and when required attend interviews with hiring managers.
  • Cross train where necessary to provide back up to colleagues and train colleagues to be your back up.


  • 1-3 years of HR experience, or related administrative experience in a corporate environment.  
  • University Degree in Human Resources, Business, or another related field. 
  • Strong skillset in all Microsoft Office programs.
  • Knowledge and understanding of employment legislation, HR policies and HR best practices. 
  • Must be detail oriented and have strong data management skills. Previous working knowledge of Workday or a similar HRIS system is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and sustain cooperative working relationships across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to exercise confidentiality; show tact, diplomacy, and discretion in handling information of confidential and/or sensitive nature.
  • Ability to allocate time effectively, work under pressure and manage tight and multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to adapt to new ideas and change; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Working towards a CHRP designation is an asset.

The expected annualized base salary range for this role is $55,000 to $70,000.

The actual salary offered will take into consideration a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the individual’s skill, experience, education and training, the market compensation of the role, and the consideration to internal equity.
