Job Description:

This position is eligible for remote work in the following states: CA / NY / FL”

As an HRIS Analyst for Rakuten USA, you will assist with the day-to-day operation of Workday and peripheral systems, including but not limited to transactional support, Workday’s HRIS operational and process analysis, and problem solving in partnership with Workday teams, HRSS, and HR functional teams.  You will provides customer support through the sharing of information and data. You will serve as the end-users’ representative for the Workday platform.  

Key responsibilities:

  • Assists with the day-to-day operations and problem resolution for team members and HR Partner groups
  • Partners with the team leads to recommend appropriate changes in process/approach, including updating and creating documentation
  • Understanding of HRIS operations and experience in employee data management
  • Assists with special projects and various duties as needed
  • Engages with customers with a sense of urgency, demonstration of good verbal, listening, and writing skills across different functional disciplines
  • Supports and drives continuous improvement initiatives
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to synthesize and effectively articulate data; understand the customer situation  
  • Possesses ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines; ability to adapt 
  • Identifies and addresses process gaps/bottlenecks
  • Works with HRIS Solutions team to identify and prioritize business process improvements
  • Modifies reports that support metrics needed for the business and provide analysis as necessary
  • Understanding and application of of Security Role Assignments
  • Understanding of and execution of Supervisory Organizational changes

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of Service Desk Management
  • Considerable knowledge of the Workday Platform, as well as service desk applications
  • Ability to compose and present comprehensive reports, SOP, workflow documentation, PowerPoint decks
  • Ability to effectively plan, organize and present information
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

 Minimum Basic Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience desired
  • 2+ years of Workday platform experience
  • 3+ years of HR Operations and/or HRIS Operations experience
  • partners, contract resources, and IT peers
  • Ability to work with a global perspective
  • Documentation skills including SOPs, process maps, and job aids
