We are seeking a candidate who will understand ‘as-is’ end-to-end business/process cycles, possess the ability to act effectively at various levels of detail, work constructively with cross-functional teams and senior management, facilitate problem-solving and decision-making, and be actively involved in multiple data analytics activities. This includes developing and maintaining HR dashboards and reports, conducting data audits, providing actionable insights, and ensuring data integrity and compliance. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for defining data analytics strategies, setting milestones, managing timelines, coordinating resources, and ensuring that all data-related deliverables are met on time.
Position Details
The HRIS Data Analytics and Reporting Manager is expected to be knowledgeable in HR Information Systems, particularly Workday. The role is responsible for providing strategic thought leadership, overseeing holistic design, governance, and ensuring optimized operation for HRIS projects for the Japan region.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
– Lead the HRIS data analytics function, ensuring accurate and timely reporting and analysis of HR data.
– Develop and maintain HR dashboards and metrics to support HR and business leaders in data-driven decision-making.
– Collaborate with HR and IT teams to identify data needs and implement solutions within the HRIS.
– Conduct regular audits of HR data to ensure data integrity and compliance with relevant regulations.
– Provide training and support to HR staff on data analytics tools and best practices.
– Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in HRIS and data analytics to continuously improve our systems and processes.
Mandatory Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
– Minimum of 5 years of experience in HRIS data analytics or a similar role.
– Proficiency in HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors) and data analytics tools.
– Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable insights; ability to develop efficient and effective methodologies to address operational and performance issues.
– Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to convey complex processes and solutions in a clear and compelling manner.
– Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.
– Ability to lead project teams, mentor less experienced teammates, and promote knowledge sharing and team growth.
– Experience working in a global environment, understanding regional differences, and ensuring adherence to global standards.
Desired Qualifications:
– Master’s degree in human resources, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
– Certification in HRIS or data analytics (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, or equivalent).
– Workday certifications in the data and reporting space.
– Proven ability to drive process improvements and implement best practices in HRIS data analytics.
– Language: English fluent, Japanese business level is nice to have.
