About the Role

As a Payroll Coordinator/Analyst, you will process bi-weekly and monthly payrolls for US and Canada. You ensure accuracy and compliance, while also supporting employees and managers with payroll issues.


  • Processing payroll according to company policies and federal/state/local regulations
  • Completing US/Canada payments accurately and on time with employment tax and deduction calculations.
  • Providing process improvement recommendations to management
  • Communicating with employees and managers on basic and advanced payroll related issues and concerns
  • Building healthy relationships across RELX, notably Tax, Finance, Human Resources, and Workday HRIS teams.
  • Assisting with training of payroll staff as needed
  • Performing other related duties and projects as assigned and required


  • Possess extensive payroll experience, with Canadian payroll knowledge as an added bonus.
  • Have familiarity with Ceridian Dayforce and Workday
  • Possess CPP or FCP credentials or equivalent education background
  • Have in-depth understanding of financial/accounting/payroll/tax systems and software
  • Be knowledgeable in payroll systems for interfacing, processing, and reporting various work processes.
  • Have excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills. Have a keen attention to detail and great interpersonal skills.
  • Show intermediate skills using Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Outlook software
