POSITION PURPOSE:
Provides for the implementation and on-going support of integrations related to Workday HCM and Finance and Airline Operations.Â
Partner and collaborate closely with internal departments from Finance, HR, Payroll, Compensation to meet the goals of Republic Airways.
Support the IT integration platform and the implementation of real-time data streaming pipeline for various applications. Â Evaluates current and future technologies in anticipation of changing/evolving business needs and direction. Utilizes a holistic approach to identify and optimize operational, financial, and technological processes and investments to bring about change.Â

- Provides integration and related workflow solutions during the Workday implementation and ongoing usage.Â
- Delivers on-going technical support of integrations including testing during Workday releases.
- Know how REST and SOAP webservice calls work.
- Transforming XML documents using XSLT
- JAVA syntax
- Workday uses Workday studio which is an IDE by Eclipse
- SSIS (not needed for workday integration but at Republic we have processes that tie into it)
- Workday training for Advanced Report Writing, EIBs, Workday Studio etc.
- Performs full life cycle software development activities. Performs necessary investigations, analyses, and evaluations to determine project feasibility.Â
- Leads the effort in providing technical solutions to business problems. Â Identifies, creates and facilitates process design changes.
- Estimates and plans development work; tracks and reports on task progress; delivers work on schedule.
- Provides production support including on-call. Performs regular application, systems and data administration tasks, monitors results, recommends and implements automated solutions.Â
- Processes new software releases and/or patches and documentation. Provides regular status updates to management regarding on-going projects, maintenance, and systems support.Â
- Documents coding and design activities necessary for the proper installation, maintenance and operation of the software and integration platform. Works within a structured development environment that includes Agile development methodology, version control, unit testing, creating builds / implementation plans, design / peer reviews and other structured development practices.Â
- Collaborates with other technical staff to lead research, evaluate, develop, test and implement new and/or currently unused functional and technical solutions to enhance the value of business systems. Evaluates current and future leveragability of new functionality in anticipation of changing/evolving business needs.
- Facilitates and/or participates in functional and technical solution reviews with management and business representatives. Collaborates and communicates across a wide variety of audiences within the technical organization and business community. Provides functional expertise and direction specific to application functionality and business processes.
- Assists with IT-related PCI and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements including control assessments (audits) and documentation requirements.
- Provides leadership to team members and peers by collaborating with others, articulating ideas and viewpoints to senior management, peers and others, identifying and initiating projects, managing resources, driving the resolution of issues.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability necessary to perform this job.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A. / B.S.) in Information Technology or related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience.Â
- At least 2 years of previous Workday implementation and integration experience.
- At least 2 years of experience using Workday Core Connector, Enterprise Interface Builder, and Studio.
- Previous Workday integration experience in HCM and Finance using Workday Core Connector, Enterprise Interface Builder, and Studio.
- At least 3 years of related experience in software engineering.Â
- Previous experience with an Integration Platform, real-time data streaming pipeline, message broker and applications that adapt to the data stream.Â
- Previous experience with the support of an integration platform such as Kafka, MuleSoft…
- Demonstrated knowledge of software design and development, database design, report writing, and testing procedures.Â
- Experience with XML, XSLT, Java, .NET, and Web Services.
- Good communication skills.
PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- At least 2 years of previous Workday implementation and integration experience.
- At least 2 years of experience using Workday Core Connector, Enterprise Interface Builder, and Studio.
- At least 3 years of experience with an Integration Platform, data streaming processes and support of the platform.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
REASONING/PROBLEM SOLVING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Â Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
