Position Summary:

The Senior Financial Systems Analyst contributes to the development and administration of the Workday general ledger and supporting financial applications.  This role supports complex financial projects, utilizing industry-specific accounting and reporting principles, advanced data skills, and a working knowledge of insurance products and business workflow. Incumbent will help drive business results by ensuring relevant financial information is available for timely and accurate financial reporting and streamlining financial processes.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operations and troubleshoot issues within Workday Financials application.

  • Contribute to continuous design and development in Workday Financials to accommodate RLUS M&A activities and improve existing financial processes.

  • Supports financial system administration, user experience, close process, enhancements, and releases.

  • Collaborates across the business to prioritize defect resolution and understand requirements, configuration, and testing of Workday solutions for various business problems.

  • Participate in testing of bi-annual Workday Financials releases.

  • Maintains system knowledge through continuous training and development.

  • Participates in variety of other complex projects and performs other ad hoc duties impacting Finance as assigned.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • 4-year bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience required.

  • 5+ years of accounting experience required, with a strong preference toward experience within the insurance or financial services industries.

  • Experience with enterprise general ledger systems required, with a strong preference toward experience with Workday Financials.

  • Proficiency in Excel required, with preference toward experience with PowerQuery/PowerPivot.

  • Financial systems release testing experience, including defect prioritization, test plan development, and thorough documentation of testing outcomes, desired.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to facilitate meetings with participants at all levels of the organization desired.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects to completion desired.

  • Ability to work outside of normal business hours as required.

Location: Preferred West Chester, PA or Atlanta, GA open to remote in EST or CST time zones. Some travel will be required.

In addition to salary, Resolution Life US offers a comprehensive benefits package, including our health & wellness program, incentive and recognition programs, and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The range for the role may differ based on the location.

  • New York City: $106,900 – $160,900

  • West Chester, PA: $98,000 – $147,000

  • Minneapolis, MN and Atlanta, GA: $89,100 – $133,700

  • Des Moines, IA and Minot, ND: $80,200 – $120,300
