Job Requirements:

Must have minimum of one (1) year demonstrated quality customer service, cash handling experience, or experience with basic accounting processes.

Must have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and ability to serve a wide range of people including students, families, faculty and staff.

Must possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks

Proficiency in Microsoft Office required

Experience with Nelnet, PowerFAIDS, or Workday highly preferred
Job Duties:
Works closely with the Registrar, Bursar, Director of Financial Aid, and Dean of Student Success to provide exemplary customer service to students, their families, and faculty and staff of the College. Provides courteous service to all customers of Rhodes Express through services focused on finance and academic information. Ensures accurate resolutions to customer concerns and inquiries either personally or through the intervention of a specialist. Facilitates customers’ connection to other areas for services needed outside Rhodes Express.
Administrative Support: Provides front-line assistance to the Office of the Registrar.
- Assists with various tasks related to student records.
- Responsible for transcript and enrollment verification production.
- Provides general counsel to students regarding policy and procedures about the college catalog and academic calendar.
- Assists with the Workday Student Onboarding process.
- Enters data from all forms submitted to Rhodes Express. Answers and directs telephone calls as they come through the switchboard.
- Responding accurately and promptly to academic or registrar processes emails via TopDesk.
Administrative Support: Provides front-line assistance to the Office of Financial Aid.
- Provides counsel for general financial aid and billing questions for Rhodes parents, students, and authorized payers.
- Supports Financial Aid in the Federal Work-Study and RSAP student employment onboarding process. Initiates all new hire paperwork for student workers by hiring them as employees in Workday. Collects all student employee I-9 documents and completes the E-Verify process in Workday and on the government website. Informs supervisors when new hires are eligible to begin work. Follows up with supervisors, students, and Financial Aid when paperwork isn’t completed promptly. Requires E-Verify training.
- Enters data from all forms submitted to Rhodes Express for the Office of Financial Aid. Answers and directs telephone calls as they come through the switchboard.
- Responding accurately and promptly to financial aid emails via TopDesk.
Administrative Support: Provides front-line assistance to the Office of the Bursar.
- Assists in preparing and sending billing statements, managing meal plan requests, and processing tuition payments.
- Performs ledger maintenance, providing accounting reports and assessments, and verifying the accuracy of daily data collection and input processes.
- Balances cash drawers daily and balances vault in coordination with other team members.
- Enters data from all forms submitted to Rhodes Express. Answers and directs telephone calls as they come through the switchboard.
- Responding accurately and promptly to student account emails via TopDesk.
Administrative Support: Supports additional student services as appropriate.
- Supports Human Resources and Payroll in their student employment onboarding process. Initiates all new hire paperwork for student workers by hiring them as employees in Workday. Collects all student employee I-9 documents and completes the E-Verify process in Workday and on the government website. Informs supervisors when new hires are eligible to begin work. Follows up with supervisors, Payroll, Financial Aid, and Human Resources as appropriate. Requires E-Verify training.
- Performs transactions for, but not limited to, the Division of Student Life, International Programs, Finance, Student Organizations, Campus Safety, and Data Services by collecting and disbursing various forms, documents, keys, and financial payments.
- Makes ID cards for all new students and employees and prints replacements for lost cards.
- In coordination with other Rhodes Express staff, answers the main college switchboard between 8:30-5:00 on weekdays.
