Acquire BPO is currently looking for Associate US Payroll Manager to support us, RingCentral: 

RingCentral is looking to hire an exceptional Associate US Payroll Manager, who can work effectively in a rapidly expanding work environment. The ideal candidate is a detailed-oriented, self-motivated team player, who enjoys working in a challenging and fast-paced environment. We are looking for a highly motivated professional with exceptional customer service skills to come join us. The successful candidate will manage a high performing team of two payroll analysts and provide accuracy in payroll processing. This role reports to the Manager, Global Payroll. 

Responsibilities:
 

  • Responsible for the full US payroll processing using Workday HCM. 3 cycles including commissions, bi weekly and semi-monthly. 

  • Preparing all termination checks, and off cycle payments. 

  • Responsible for working together to build and scale the payroll department, strengthen internal controls, and accurately manage day-to-day operations. 

  • Manage and review payroll to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing with strong data integrity consistent with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws. 

  • Responsible for ensuring all payroll regulatory filings are completed accurately and timely. 

  • Sets up and manages payroll in new states, providing inputs to payroll service providers, reviewing, and approving payrolls. 

  • Provide a high level of customer service with finance and non-finance business partners by providing financial insights and relevant reporting. 

  • Support the quarterly reviews and annual audit requests and inquiries from our external auditors 

  • Perform various GL month-end close activities, including preparation and review of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations 

  • Apply for tax IDs for new jurisdictions and maintain tax information using ADP SmartCompliance 

  • Experienced with various stock transactions as it related to payroll reporting and tax withholdings. 

  • Responds to employee inquiries concerning payroll with a sense of urgency, in a kind and empathetic manner, ensuring that staff members’ needs and concerns are addressed. 

  • Develop and maintain pay policies, payroll calendars, payroll checklists, process maps, and other procedural documentation, ensuring that internal controls and procedures are followed to satisfy periodic review in compliance of local laws. 

  • Experience with working cross-functionally with business partners in HRIS, Benefits, Compensation, Stock, Finance, and Legal. 

  • Effective communication skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas 

  • Management of the transmission of the data files for FSA, HSA & 401K plans 

  • Quarter/Year-End reconciliation of payroll and stock transactions 

  • Year-End audit of the Wage & Tax Registers for accurate W2 and T4 processing 

To succeed in this role you must have experience in:

  • Workday Payroll experience 

  • Understanding preparation and knowledge of payroll journal entries and GL account reconciliations 

  • Working knowledge of payroll policies and procedures including multi-state and federal pay and tax laws 

  • CPP preferred 

Desired Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of proven payroll process experience in domestic payroll. 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel 

  • Great communication, organizational, multi-tasking and prioritizing skills 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills needed to interface and establish rapport with business partners of the organization 

  • A proactive, high-energy attitude geared towards achieving continuous improvement 

  • Ability to operate in a fast paced, rapidly evolving, and data driven organization 

  • Amenable to work on US hours
