At Robert Half, we're actively seeking a Workday Integrations Architect/Software Engineer IV/Integrations Lead to fill a pivotal role within our organization. As our Workday Integrations Architect, you'll be at the forefront of designing, implementing, and managing integration solutions. Your role is instrumental in ensuring a seamless flow of data and processes, effectively enhancing the performance of HR, finance, reporting, and other crucial aspects of our business operations. Collaboration is at the heart of this role. You'll work closely with other application and technology teams, fostering a deep understanding of existing technologies and tools utilized throughout our organization.

 

This position is a part of Workday Competency Center team, and primary focus will be HCM and Payroll, and will also have opportunities to work on Workday Financials as needed.  The position is designed as 100% remote and/or hybrid in office and will be required to travel to San Ramon, CA, up to two (2) times a year for strategic planning. This role is responsible for the following key responsibilities:

 

Responsibilities:  

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy Workday integrations with other applications.

  • Work with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and design optimal solutions.

  • Use Workday Studio, Core Connectors, Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), and other Workday integration tools.

  • Stay up to date on the latest Workday integration technologies and best practices.

  • Serve as the subject matter expert on large collections of Workday integrations.

  • Lead the research, design, development, testing, and delivery of new Workday Integrations

  • Create detailed integration specifications, field mappings, and designs to support the entire integration deployment life cycle.

  • Understand data flows and system usage between internal systems and Workday, driving alignment with other system owners.

  • Drive an overall data strategy for people-related data and Workday’s place in it.

  • Continuously identify opportunities to optimize existing integrations for improved performance and reliability.

  • Investigate and resolve integration issues, including data discrepancies, error handling, and system failures.

  • Perform thorough testing of integrations to ensure accuracy and reliability.

Knowledge and Experience:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience

  • In-depth knowledge of Workday with hands-on experience in building integrations within the Workday ecosystem.

  • At least one full implementation of Workday, with demonstrated Workday technical and integrations experience.

  • 5+ years of experience building Workday Integrations with Workday Studio, EIB, and Core Connectors

  • 5+ years of experience developing Workday custom reports and calculated fields.

  • 5+ years of experience integrating systems with third-party service vendors.

  • Strong programming skills in languages such as XML, XSLT, and Web Services (SOAP and REST).

  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills to address integration challenges effectively.

  • Ability to manage multiple integration projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

  • Knowledge of data security and privacy best practices, compliance, and regulations, especially regarding sensitive HR and financial data.

  • Workday Integration or Workday Pro certification is a plus.

  • Knowledge/experience in any of MuleSoft, Workday Extend, and Adaptive Planning integrations is a plus, but optional.

  • Experience with integration testing and performance monitoring.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

The typical annual salary range for this position is shown below and is negotiable depending upon experience and location. The position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.

$115,000.00 – $173,000.00
