The Senior Analyst, People Group Operations (“Senior Analyst”) delivers high quality data, analysis, and reporting for the People Group (“PG”). This role will create value from delivery of impactful initiatives within the PG function and serve as a data steward and translator to senior PG, business, and other stakeholders in the organization. This position also serves as the liaison between the PG and the HRIS Workday team in a business analyst capacity. Finally, the Senior Analyst will assist the PG Mergers & Acquisitions (“M&A”) team with due diligence and post-close integrations resulting from merger and acquisition activities, as necessary. This is a key role requiring technical knowledge, business awareness, and industry expertise during a time of accelerated growth.

Duties and responsibilities, as they align to Ryan’s Key Results:

People

  • Key contributor to the data analytics and reporting needs of the PG and the business
  • Enables scalable data solutions that embed and integrate analytics and insights in critical moments throughout the employee lifecycle
  • Proactively analyzes and identifies trends and patterns in people data and recommend actions to remedy potential challenges and issues

Client

  • Operates as a ‘trusted advisor’ to all clients and stakeholders
  • Collaborates with other departments regarding PG initiatives, building internal and external relationships to ensure strong partnerships across the Ryan ecosystem
  • Partners with various stakeholders to analyze, define and document business process models for defined-scope enhancements, typically pertaining to function-specific areas; ensures that functional designs meet business requirements and align to the solution design
  • Establishes “to-be” solution alternatives with recommendations and participates in the best approach to pilot and deploy solutions
  • Works on cross-functional projects focused on continuous improvement, automation, and standardization
  • Maintains various ‘data deliverables’ for all stakeholders, including PowerBI, PG Dashboards, and other People metrics
  • Develops and delivers training and communication artifacts that enable reporting self-service for end-users

  • Maintains in-depth understanding and up-to-date knowledge of the principles and application of user requirements, test scripts, controls, User Acceptance Testing, roadmap prioritization
  • Manages projects from inception to completion requiring a consultative design thinking mindset while managing stakeholder relationships. Strong technical acumen to quickly adopt new Workday modules as needed

  • Special projects as assigned by the PG leaders

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Data & Analytics, Finance, or other relevant, business-oriented degree

  • 5-7 years of experience in advanced analytics and reporting
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience related to acquisition due diligence and integrations
  • Proven success in delivery of complex, in-depth/advanced data analytics in a format and/or channel that is easily consumable by end-users
  • Innovative and creative thinker, combined with the ability to execute solutions in a results-oriented environment
  • Must be a self-starter; able to work independently and multi-task in a dynamic environment, managing multiple deadlines and priorities on a large capacity and global scale
  • Exceptional problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills
  • Handles and safeguards confidential information and sensitive material

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have advanced knowledge of Microsoft PowerBI, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook tech-savvy, and Internet navigation and research.  Knowledge of Workday HR and Workday Adaptive is preferred.

  • Experience with Workday HCM highly preferred (e.g., knowledge of software development, configuration, test plans and scripts, integration, user-acceptance testing, reporting, and/or project management experience)
  • Experience in using analytics and tools (e.g., Prism) that evaluate workforce metrics to improve talent capacity planning and maximize labor utilization
  • Experience with data visualization and reporting tools and scripting languages
  • Familiarity with statistical tools for hypothesis testing and data mining analysis

Certificates and Licenses:

  • Valid driver’s license required. 

Work Environment:

  • Standard indoor working environment.
  • Long periods of sitting while working at computer.
  • Occasional long periods of standing.
  • Position requires regular interaction with employees at all levels of the Firm and interface with external vendors.
  • Independent travel requirement: 15-20%
