Role and Responsibilities

This person will manage a team that serves as liaison between specific user areas such as Human Resources, Benefits, Payroll, and Information Technology Services to understand business problems and opportunities for improvement. The primary focus of this position is the support and maintenance of Workday in addition to other systems supported by the HRIS team. This individual works in a matrix organization where they manage a line of business and have project management responsibility that crosses all subsidiaries in North Ameria . Their team is the point-of-contact for ensuring data integrity, documenting requirements, testing of system changes, assisting with regular Workday upgrades, and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. This HRIS Manager will also supports system upgrades, testing and other technical projects as assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for full cycle HRIS Management for the line of business assigned to, this includes the management of a team of 2 or more  contractors
  • Provide HRIS WorkDay solutions and support to 11 subsidiaries in 3 countries by being the subject matter expert
  • This role is a key conduit between the Shared Services Center and our HQ, HR Global Task Force & IT.
  • Work with SDSA and HQ for resolution and updates by understanding business problems and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Create the road map for the regional compensation practices  and the annual advance comp cycle
  • Launch  and manage systems for the regional Talent and Performance
  • Responsible for the regional Recruitment system needs and the champion of system changes and enhancements
  • Responsible for meeting HQ SLA’s by managing and auditing team’s performance using the SR tool.
  • Leading a team that is responsible for aspects of human resource information systems including:
    • Supporting system upgrades, patches, testing and other technical projects
    • Tier 2 HRIS support to NA subsidiary HR including data maintenance
    • Responsible for data integrity through audits and checks
    • Educating and training subsidiaries on releases such as WorkDay and other system upgrades
    • Design user-friendly processes, guidelines and documents used to train/educate the North America region
    • Provides Subsidiary support by responding and solving tickets that come in through our ticketing tool. This includes analyzing and troubleshooting data and system issues and providing guidance and solutions to the users (rescind, start date changes, org changes).
    • Perform bulk uploads of data to Workday via templates and be able to troubleshoot and work with IT partners for complex loads

Skills and Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study or 10+ years of HRIS work experience
  • HRIS experience is required (Core, Recruiting, Compensation, Talent and Performance – including configuration understanding)
  • WD SME with being a certification(s) being a plus
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality to sensitive employee information.
  • Proficiency in issue resolution, organization, planning and time management
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Business acumen
  • Collaborative Communication that can see the big picture
  • Strong MS Office skills
  • experience working across multiple geographic regions
  • In-depth knowledge of HR related software preferably WorkDay
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills with experience in project management, planning of large-scale projects from the envisioning stage through to implementation
