Position Summary

This advanced position focuses on developing, enhancing and implementing various HR modules including HCM Core, Talent management, Compensation, Benefits & Payroll.  This individual should have very good technical skills with systems like Workday, Oracle EBS and any one of the Data Warehouse tools. This individual should have hands on knowledge in Workday Studio, to build Interfaces between HR systems and other systems used in the Company. This position should continually engage with the business community, both internal and external, to determine needs and identify opportunities for system improvements and maintain the business abreast of upcoming changes. The position has to interact with the Platform functionality team, internal SME, HRBP’s, networking teams and any external vendors on a daily basis so as to perform the Job functionalities.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide Technical and functional leadership to HR Operations in all aspects of applications use. Lead team in designing solutions, creating functional and technical documents, developing & implementing solutions.
  • Understand all the business process followed by the company globally and identify areas of improvement by performing gap analysis and should be able to advise the HR Operations Leadership team on the process that needs to be improved.
  • Provide a valid/amicable solution for the problems/process improvements identified.
  • Develop Integrations using EIB, Core Connectors & Workday Studio between Workday and other company wide application ensuring Maintainability and Scalability
  • Lead the Requirements gathering sessions with all the stake holders and should be able to create Functional & Technical Design Documents
  • Should be able to work with the Development team, providing them with the proper requirements and testing the same with the Business teams when the development is complete
  • Collaborate with PMO team in developing Project plans for any identified project and deliver the project within the timeline
  • Develop test scripts for UAT
  • Should be able to Analyze and Resolve issues that are encountered by the Employees
  • Design and develop advance reports adhering to internal standards to ensure reuse and maintainability
  • Design and develop advance dashboards in Workday that are presented to Executives which will help to take organization wide decisions
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Experience & Technical Knowledge:

  • 10+ years professional experience in a software development
  • 6+ years of experience with Workday
  • End to end implementation of Workday which includes Modules like HCM Core, Absence, Compensation, Talent, Benefits & Payroll
  • Good technical knowledge in Oracle HRMS

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science or Information Technology
  • Master’s degree preferred

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Critical thinking, extensive problem solving skills, and the ability to research an issue and determine the root cause.
  • Must be well organized, a self-starter, possess diligent follow-through capabilities, as well as strong customer service skills.
  • Subject matter expert in the Software Development Lifecycle and operating systems for HCM
  • Subject matter expert in tools to test software applications/systems
  • Subject matter expert in development/modeling tools
  • Proven business knowledge in HR, Payroll, Benefits and related standards and processes
  • Strong change management acumen
  • Must excel in team building and exhibit a collaborative approach to problem solving.
  • Possess and consistently demonstrate a “can do” attitude. The successful candidate must be able to challenge the norm to enable departmental and company growth.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication with the ability to readily communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Solid project management  skills are required along with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to effectively manage changing and conflicting priorities
  • Proven business knowledge in HR, Payroll, Benefits and related processes
  • Must be able to obtain and hold a Nevada Gaming Card

Work Conditions:  May require evening and/or weekend hours. May require travel.
