Position Summary

The Vice President, Human Resources will lead Scientific Game’s HR Centers of Excellence, developing long-term strategies, ensuring compliance with internal and external policies and laws, and of the group and managing the overall HR COE team.  The person in this role will manage functions including compensation, benefits, recruiting, learning & development, as well as payroll programs.  This role will be critical to the success of promoting SG’s collaborative culture and overall profitability through effective management of the HR’s critical COE functions.  This position will report directly to the Chief Administration Officer and will work closely with the entire Executive Team and other leaders across the business. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organizations goals and strategies related to staffing, recruiting, compensation and employee retention.

  • In partnership with the HR operation team, plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements strategies, policies, processes, training initiatives, and surveys to support the organization’s human resource goals and objectives.

  • Oversees the Global human resource programs and initiatives including, but not limited to:

    • Compensation & incentive plans, benefits, and leave administration

    • Employee learning and development programs and employee engagement efforts

    • Performance management

    • Diversity Equity and Inclusion

    • Recruiting

  • Presents strategic initiatives to the Executive Team and drive the delivery of those initiatives

  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and applies this knowledge to communicate changes when necessary.

  • Manages incentive programs and researches new incentive opportunities.

  • Develops, implements, and manages COE departmental budget.

  • Facilitates professional development, training, and certification activities.

  • Performs other duties as required.


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Management, or any other related field

  • MBA or other advanced degree is preferred

  • SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, PHR, or SPHR preferred

  • Experience with Workday preferred

  • 10+ years’ Human Resources Management experience

  • A strong understanding and experience in the various Global HR COE Functions as listed above

Physical Demands:

  • Regular and predictable attendance is required.

  • Some work is required in “off-hours” for business meetings/company events.

  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time in front of a computer.

  • Ability to move about facility on regular basis to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting heavy equipment (up to 25 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, climbing or walking.

  • Visual and hearing acuity.

  • Ability to travel 15% of the work schedule
