Provide technical support to the teams responsible for Benefits and Compensation. Coordinate and facilitate design, analysis and testing for Absence, Benefits, and Compensation modules configured through Workday. Monitor issue-tracking system (SmartSheet); review issues/requests/tasks for appropriateness, assign tasks, and ensure timely and thorough response are provided. Assist with the formulation of procedures and best practices for users.

Specific Responsibilities:

100% Benefits and Compensation Workday Support and Improvement

  • Review, assess, and assign incoming issue/request/task customer requests
  • Troubleshoot HR System Absence, Benefit, and Compensation configuration and reporting issues to identify and fix root causes 
  • Research, analyze and resolve problems or questions presented using knowledge of entire Absence/Benefits/Compensation functions
  • Configuration of absence, compensation, benefits and testing/troubleshooting implementation
  • Advise on the proper use of solution functionality including previously enabled reports and other data analysis capabilities 
  • Create custom reports to meet business needs where necessary 
  • Assist in the creation and review of mass updates to system database 
  • Work with functional experts to produce formal configuration requirements documentation 
  • Analyze software releases to assess impact of new features 
  • Assist on small team projects from inception through execution    


  • HS Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Associate Degree (preferred)


  • Two (2) years of demonstrated HRIS technical experience supporting HR, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll or Time & Labor
  • Workday HRIS experience a plus

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of absence, compensation and benefits
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HR business practices 
  • Must have proficient MS Excel skills
  • Ability to multi-task and change priorities as needed
