Position Overview

Shaw Industries is looking for a Human Resources Representative to help to build a competitive advantage by providing administrative support for Human Resources, including benefits, associate relations, payroll, and employment. This position is critical in helping to build competitive advantage, creating a great place to work, hiring, and developing the best people, providing outstanding service every time, and making the business better. This position will be based in Calhoun, GA and report to the HR Manager on-site.

Responsibilities:

· Act as a liaison between HR management, and associates regarding HR policies/procedures

· Assist associates with questions/concerns.

· Coordinate onboarding with new hires to include information about benefits.

· Maintain personnel records and I-9s for all active/terminated associates.

· Assist in keeping the HR office in compliance with records retention policies and procedures.

· Assist with open enrollment-related responsibilities.

· Process a variety of tasks in Workday including terminations, job requisitions, benefit changes, etc. in a timely manner.

· Complete DOL separation notice along with the benefit letter.

· Order associate gifts, flowers, and needed supplies.

· Submit monthly P-card reports for expenses.

· Assist associates in unemployment-related reporting to the payroll department.

· Submit pay adjustments as needed.

· Order and distribute recognition items.

· Create new hire employee IDs.

· Maintain the department’s organizational charts and prepare reports.

· Complete reports as needed by HR Manager/Management

· Assist with associate recognition program activities

· Maintain referral bonus spreadsheet updated

· Update Plant Visible report to reflect org changes

· Run weekly OT and LOW reports in Workforce

Qualifications

High school diploma/GED.

Preferred Requirements

· Must be able to maintain highly confidential information.

· A desire to work with people and an ability to work with all types of personalities.

· Be an effective communicator with varying levels of management, both orally and in writing.

· Must be able to positively accept change in daily routine.

· Must be able to multitask, prioritize workload, meet critical deadlines, and work with minimal supervision.

· Experience with Workday, Microsoft 365, and I-9 tracker systems.

· Bilingual (Spanish preferred)
