Are you our Finance Manager for SimCorp Poland a subsidiary to SimCorp A/S a company listed on the Copenhagen stock exchange? Do you find motivation in starting up an accounting and finance function?  You will be the first employee working full time with accounting and financial reporting. The Finance function in Poland will report to the EMEA Operational Finance, Director. EMEA Operational Finance covers Accounting, Compliance and Reporting for all entities in Europe and is part of the larger Global Finance organization with an overall headcount of around 100 employees.

Role and Responsibilities

As hands-on Financial Manager you will be responsible for the following tasks and responsibilities which include:

  • Establish finance function, set-up processes and procedures

  • Ensuring financial reporting to HQ in accordance with group principles and in compliance with IFRS

  • Responsible for financial month-end closing preparing accounts and reporting to HQ

  • Supporting the Group audit including providing documentation for the audit

  • Be responsible and ensure compliance with the local statutory reporting and taxes

  • Overall responsible for payroll and accounting, which is currently outsourced to a service provider  

  • Communicating and collaborating with colleagues within SimCorp’s Operational Finance organization

  • Participating in various finance projects including being part of set-up of reporting in our new ERP system – Workday – that we are in the middle of rolling out in the group

  • As the company expand, you’ll be expected to build up and then manage the local Finance Team

  • You will be reporting to the Director, EMEA Operational Finance

Ideally, you have a solid financial background, a master degree and you could have worked as an auditor in an international audit firm. It is an advantage if you have experience from an international company reporting after IFRS.

  • Proven accounting experience in a subsidiary of an international group with similar level of responsibility

  • Are eager to setup and establish a Finance function, to work with monthly, quarterly and annual closings and financial reporting in an international company

  • Have strong IFRS knowledge and are familiar with Annual Reporting after IFRS

  • Thrive in a busy environment with focus on meeting deadlines

  • Are able to work with a new ERP and reporting systems and is an experienced user of Excel.

  • Experience with Workday, Adaptive Planning is an advantage, but not a requirement

  • Good communication skills and an excellent team player

  • You are fluent in English and master Polish.
