Why this role is important to us
SimCorp is on an exciting journey to become a wholly SaaS driven enterprise. You will play a key role in driving financial insight and transparency while ensuring that this journey is done with tight cost controlling. Your role as Business Controller will be to ensure full end-to-end ownership and in-depth knowledge of all hosting costs across the full value chain of SimCorp. You will have direct and daily interaction with stakeholders across SimCorp. You will ensure transparency in numbers and assist your colleagues in business finance with annual budgets and monthly forecasts ensuring we get the most out of our new ERP system Workday and our forecast system Adaptive Planning. You will be an integral part of ensuring the operation of a successful SaaS enabled business model. 

What you will be responsible for
Your key responsibilities, within the area of FP&A, will be to:

  • Own cross functional cost overview of all hosting and cloud related costs acting as a trusted subject matter expert assisting finance business partners and senior stakeholders across SimCorp with key insights

  • Drive the communication around the financial performance on all hosting costs

  • Be part of driving the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting process

  • Be part of driving the development of financial transparency as well as financial analysis to proactively identify business performance

  • Drive and/or contribute to finance- and business initiatives and projects

  • Drive and/or contribute to the development and optimization of financial- and business processes and the use of financial applications

  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and controlling tasks within your area

What we value (our requirements)

  • Solid stakeholder management skills

  • At least 3+ years of experience with financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and providing financial business support

  • A structured and analytical mindset with a self-starter attitude and a high degree of attention to detail

  • The ability to work just as well independently, as in teams

  • Brilliant collaboration and communication skills

  • A high drive, a sense of urgency, and the ability to prioritize between multiple stakeholders in a dynamic and changing global environment

  • An academic degree in management or finance

  • Fluency in spoken and written English
