JOB SUMMARY
The Transfer Credit Specialist works in the Office of the Registrar facilitating essential services for current and prospective students including transfer credit evaluation, transfer credit database entry, and development and maintenance of transfer tables. Creates official transfer credit evaluation information that is send to students.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Researches transfer institution accreditation and credit system (quarter, semester, etc.) and verifies authenticity of transcripts received.

Researches and resolves credit evaluation issues.

Ensures compliance with state, and University requirements.

Communicates and collaborates with internal and external customers regarding transfer credit policies and related procedures.

Responds in a timely manner to inquiries from students, faculty, and staff related to transfer credit, duplication of credit, and various academic policies.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
-
Two years of experience as a transfer credit evaluator, academic advisor, or admissions professional.

Strong computer skills: data entry, spreadsheets, and database management

Strong organizational skills
-
Ability to prioritize workload with excellent time management skills

Ability to meet deadlines and pay constant attention to detail
-
Work experience in related field
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
-
Demonstrated experience with high volume customer service in an academic or professional environment

Bachelor’s degree

Knowledge of Workday

Knowledge of federal regulatory laws such as Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA, and college policies and procedures relating to admissions, enrollment and transfer.

Experience working in a collaborative/team environment.
