We are seeking an experienced Finance Senior Manager to join our Financial Reporting and Policies. This position requires working experience in Financial Accounting and possess sound knowledge of the relevant Acts e.g. GST Act, Statutory Board Financial Reporting Standards, local laws and legislations to ensure appropriate financial governance to safeguard GovTech’s financial resources for public accountability. 
 

What you will be working on:

  • Review GL master data creations and maintenance (includes GL a/c, Cost Centre, Fund, Projects)

  • Ensure timeliness in monthly closing

  • Manage outsource payroll recon vendor and review payroll journals

  • GL module process lead for WorkDay Financial System

  • Review of grant and tax allocations

  • Review audit schedules for completeness and accuracy

  • Timely GST submission to tax authority

  • CorpPass Administrator 

FINANCIAL REPORTING

  • Plan, co-ordinate and liaise with auditors on all statutory financial audit matters  to ensure that it is completed within stipulated timeline

  • Prepare financial statements for statutory audit and analyse for reporting to stakeholders e.g Board, Audit and Risk Committee

  • Ensure GovTech and its subsidiaries’ accounts are in compliance with Financial Reporting Standards for Statutory Boards, GovTech’s policies and procedures, relevant government IMs and circulars

  • Liaise with subsidiaries on matters relating to statutory audit

  • Co-ordinate returns on financial reporting required by Ministries and Department of Statistics

  • Dividend computation and submission to MOF

  • Monthly review of overall GovTech Financials and consolidate FCOT GL statistics for monthly dashboard reporting

  • Provide advice on Financial Reporting Standard for Statutory Board to the business units

  • Appointment of auditors

FINANCE POLICIES

  • Develop, review and implement finance policies to ensure optimal balance between effective governance and efficient operations

  • Provide advice to business units on the applications of finance policies

 
OTHERS

  • Any other jobs assigned

What we are looking for:

  • Professional Degree in Accountancy and membership in an internationally recognized accounting body

  • At least 5 years working experience in Financial Accounting

  • Requires supervisory experience in a similar capacity

  • Sound knowledge of the relevant Acts e.g. GST Act, Statutory Board Financial Reporting Standards, local laws and legislations

  • Proficient in MS Office applications

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Meticulous and analytical

  • Big 4 experience as an added advantage

  • Past experience on Robotics Automatic Process (RPA) as an added advantage
