Global HRIS Workday Specialist (Absence + Time Tracking)


  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues, resolve absence and time tracking problems,
  • Regularly engage and support the client through day to day function of the Workday Absence and/or Time Tracking solution.
  • Assist country partners though the configuration of Absence Plans and Time Tracking as presented in the requirements documentation and company policies.
  • Actively participate in update training and internal opportunities to share one’s skills and learnings with others within the organization.
  • Assisting projects through the full lifecycle and assisting in requirements gathering, configuration, testing, UAT, and postproduction support.
  • Perform multiple tasks under limited direction, while following compliance/audit processes related to the project/enhancements.
  • Analyze current business processes to look for opportunities to improve and streamline.
  • Monitor new features being released by Workday and advocate for appropriate adoption plans.
  • Provide Level 2/3 support for HR Production issues and questions
  • Maintain change documentation and training materials around Absence and Time Tracking.
  • Assist with any ad hoc project needs as necessary.
  • Participate actively in the Workday Community to gather information and participate in user groups to support growth and learning
  • Support Workday product expert with knowledge of design, configuration, testing, and implementation for the Absence Management and Time Tracking functional areas.
  • Leverage your Workday expertise to recommend the best solution based on the country partners requirements, budget, and time frame; with the flexibility to adapt the scope with support of Absence and Time Tracking Expert.
  • This position will also participate in HRIS and other business projects as required on an ad-hoc basis to support the other HRIS team members



  • Configuration knowledge of the Workday system, preferably knowledgeable in Absence and Time Tracking
  • Strong competencies, particularly with communication
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Candidates should ideally also be educated to University degree level or equivalent
  • 1-3+ years’ experience with Workday configuration in the following modules Absence Management, Time Tracking is preferred but not required
  • Ideally experience within an international and multi-levelled organisation
  • Experience using Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Workday Report Writer, Web Services or other integration technologies a plus
