Role: HRIS Workday Data Specialist

Location: Pune India / Wroclaw, Poland

Role Overview:

The Workday Data Specialist role is a key part of the HRIS Team, and responsible for driving data quality, data privacy and data governance across all HR Systems, the HR function and downstream users of HR data.

Working closely with colleagues in the HRIS team, Data Privacy, Audit and Compliance, the role will challenge new ways of working to ensure compliance to internal policies and procedures, internal and external audit and alignment to the best practise whilst enabling the delivery of people insights and analytics to the business. The role will be responsible for developing a framework to mitigate risk and ensure compliance internal & external guidance.

This role involves a high level of relationship management in order to ensure that the HR function and our HR technology partners continue to foster and develop a valuable partnership to drive simplification, standardization and automation to ensure the long-term success of the HR operating model.

Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with the Director of Data Governance, Reporting and Analytics, develop a data governance strategy which provides guidance and directives to protect people data and mitigate potential data breaches.
  • Build and maintain a HR data dictionary/ taxonomy and define categories such as personal, sensitive and non-sensitive data.
  • Ensure that Workday security roles/ personas are clearly documented, communicated and appropriate to facilitate self-service and mitigate risk.
  • Act as HRIS lead ensuring the successful internal audit of HR systems and system processes.
  • Review report schedules, self-service tools, dashboards and integrations to ensure compliance with HRIS data governance strategy and external audit requirements
  • Develop Workday reports and dashboards to supervise Workday data integrity (i.e. identify orphan org structures, missing data)
  • Ensure Workday CC structures are aligned with Finance Org Structure systems.
  • Communicate and upskill HR colleagues in data privacy and best practise guidelines.
  • Ensure all reporting processes are followed in line with audit and compliance.
  • Support on Tier 2 & Tier 3 HRIS / Workday reporting requests
  • Support the broader HRIS team on projects and configuration where required.

Required Skills:-

  • Graduate with min a bachelor’s Degree (Business/IT, Human Resources or relevant subject) or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Min 3+ years of experience in Workday Business Processes, Security Knowledge, Workday Reports, Customer Stakeholder Experience, Support Experience, and Integrations.
  • Should be eager to learn & work in Data Governance Best practices, Internal & external Audit & compliance & risk areas with HRIS.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Workday report writing including sophisticated and matrix reports, calculated fields, security admin, business processes Demonstrable experience of dealing with and prioritizing requests/
  • Experience of Workday audit functionality and integrations preferable.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Workday, security admin, HR cloud-based systems, their data structures and security
  • Detailed understanding of the application of Workday and other HR systems including workflow and case management and its reporting capabilities
  • Good understanding of business analysis and work change execution
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a project environment to tight deadlines & against project plans
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations and the ways global companies manage and share data to operate global HR processes/programs to meet business needs

  • Impact Analysis – Analyze and interpret sophisticated written information. Able to make sound and timely decisions based on analysis of the relevant information and deliver innovative solutions to sophisticated problems.  Constructively challenge the norm and encourages the generation of innovative ideas
  • Service Improvement – Ability to deliver against performance indicators for services and proactively improve performance. Good understanding and experience of implementing quality and process improvement methodologies. 
  • Delivery Management – Able to take a well-rounded view of the internal customer journey
