Job Description Summary

The Compensation Analyst Provides data management and analytical expertise in support of a variety of compensation projects, audits and analysis. Participates in on going job code projects and audits. Conducts market job analysis for new requisitions as well as promotions. Owns the annual salary planning process. Serves as a back up to the Benefits Analyst on items related to billing and deduction audits. In all matters, proactively identifies issues that will impact work quality.
Work Environment This position works in an office environment.

Physical Demands This position requires the ability to sit or stand in a stationary manner for long periods of time with enough manual dexterity to perform work that is heavily key stroke dependent

Expected Hours of Work Is generally required to be available to work during business hours. May be required to work, on occasion, nights and weekends to meet deadlines.

Education and Experience A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Finance, Statistics, or related field. Three years’ experience in compensation program management or related compensation administration. Experience with HRIS platforms required. Experience with Workday preferred. Experience implementing/administering compensation management systems and salary planning systems preferred. Experience with organizations with a large proportion of non-exempt employees required.

Additional Job Description

High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) particularly Excel with experience using pivot tables, formulas, filters, charts, etc.  Strong analytic & reporting skills with keen attention to detail. Strong organizational and time management skills and an ability to prioritize and perform multiple task assignments and consistently meet daily, weekly and monthly deadlines.  Requires intermediate working and practical knowledge of a wide variety or Compensation techniques, theory, practice, methods, programs and plans including federal, state and local regulatory requirements (FLSA, overtime, etc.), annual processes, etc.
