Job Description

The Solution Consulting Department within the Global HR Platform is responsible for delivering HR innovation opportunities and holistic HRIS advisory to the entire organization, promoting and inspiring new solutions with the use of latest new HR technologies. As a consulting team, we are also responsible to implement and deliver solutions to our customers and establish/transferring BAU capabilities for smooth operations.

Our consultants lead and work alongside a senior consulting team to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution in a creative and agile way. They engage with senior and tactical stakeholders within the Global HR Platform and across Sony companies, providing product information and inspiration for solutions. Consultants focus efforts to drive product/service ‘conversion’, adoption, implementation, and migration to the operational service catalog.

    You will

    • Utilize the agile methodology and processes to implement solutions successfully

    • Design, configure, test, and implement client business requirements in Workday HCM module(s)

    • Conduct working sessions with clients to gather, understand, and analyze business requirements

    • Assess actual client needs and propose recommendations and/or alternative solutions to meet client goals

    • Advise clients on best practices, recognize, and recommend process improvements, and implement system enhancements

    • Assist clients in testing Workday configuration, provide knowledge transfer to clients and develop documentation as applicable

    • Drive execution of roadmap items through initiative management process

    • Troubleshoot business processes, calculated fields, business logic, file loads and configuration

    • Become an expert in at least one module of the Workday HCM product suite

    • Consult, execute, and prioritize conflicting demands on small to medium deliverables/projects across multiple, concurrent clients without supervision

    • Contribute to knowledge management repository through formal and informal avenues, such as sharing documented lessons learned, Q&A, documented deliverables, facilitation of knowledge sharing sessions, regularly posting best practices and knowledge sharing information to team(s)

    You will have

    • Experienced HRIS professional, with a minimum of 5 years of progressive growth, demonstrating HR knowledge, self-management, and technical proficiency

    • Track record within the HRIS environment having developed a practical and deep knowledge of HRIS principles, designs and architectural techniques, not limited to one business or technological domain

    • Expertise in Workday (ideally, including Core HR, Compensation, Benefits, Time and Absence, Talent Management, Performance Management, Recruiting, Learning, PRISM, Reporting, Calculated Fields and integrations)

    • Base-level consulting skills e.g., presenting, participating in workshops, explaining functionality or solutions to guide stakeholders, etc.

    • Experience implementing complex, practical business solutions under competing deadlines and priorities

    • Move easily between big-picture thinking and managing relevant detail

    • Ability to influence at all levels of organization and experience driving and implementing company-wide changes

    • Ability to lead global projects end to end with multiple stakeholders

    • Builds highly-effective relationship management and partnership building skills

    • Ability to share and communicate ideas, both orally and in writing to executive staff, business sponsors and technical resources in clear, concise language

    • Experience demonstrating initiative and curiosity to build skills in other areas both within and outside of Workday
