JOB PURPOSE:

Responsible for designing and creating solutions to be used as part of the People Analytics and Data Governance strategy. Developing and maintaining People Analytics for end users and enabling the organization to utilize data for decision making. Collaborating with other People Analytics Specialists to ensure data maintenance, integrity and quality is kept at a high level. Responsible for governing the utilization and publication of data as well as continuous governance of data related tasks. Supports the organization internally to enable the People Analytics function to continually develop and improve. Reshape business requests (whilst meeting requirements) to be aligned with Global HR and People Analytics framework, purpose, and strategy. Seek ways to convert People Analytics Product Offerings transferrable into globally measurable solutions. Improving analysis of what has happened and using available data to understand why it has happened by building connections between the vast data sets available and so enable HR to make proposals to the business about how to tackle the issues identified

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND SCOPE FOR DECISION MAKING

Data Modelling & Quality

  • Responsible for designing, creating and managing Datasets in Prism
  • Gather and analyse data, using statistical models / tools and continuously learn about new ways to provide value for people and HR data analytics.
  • Develop the strategy for managing multiple Datasets and structure the data in a logical way
  • Identify opportunities for data cleansing and filtering during solution design
  • Define how to implement solutions in advance to ensure quality in the final product
  • Responsible for transforming data into Datasets that can be utilized by other analysts and the business
  • Support the development of more efficient Data Governance and Quality controls, govern the utilization of datasets and reports with regular audits
  • Support the governance of regular Reporting and Data Model related requests

Analytics Package

  • Provide HR data that is available to understand Sony’s workforce, potential external future workforce to enable Sony HR to drive real business results and value based on that.
  • Manage and create the Data Catalog with full access to Prism
  • Publish Datasets for the business and govern the creation of reports and data visualizations for end-users
  • Visualize HR data for conclusive output thru Discovery Boards/Dashboards
  • Find new ways for interpreting data by blending different datasets
  • Maintenance of Product Offerings

Consultancy

  • Collaborate with stakeholders (internal/external) to understand the business needs and how that relates to People Analytics
  • Support the organization on converting raw data into actionable reports and data visualizations
  • Increase the data literacy of the organization
  • Continuous improvement within area of responsibility 

Continuous Learning & Development

  • Train users in People Analytics Product offerings and in understanding the data
  • Provide analytical capabilities to the organization based on the Global HR data structures defined by the People Analytics team
  • Communicate/promote People Analytics Product offerings and increase the adoption

Others

  • Understand the security model and how to apply security to the Datasets
  • Partake in projects within the area of People Analytics, Data Governance and related areas
  • Idea development and collaboration within the organization to find synergies in development
  • Cooperate with other team members to find a sustainable way of working
  • Take ownership of solutions and advise stakeholders on best practices
  • Continuously find improvement areas for the individual and the organization
  • As a member of the HRES People Analytics team, participate and define strategy and objectives for the organisation.
  • Shared accountability for the overall success of HRES People Analytics

QUALIFICATIONS & PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

  • Qualified to degree level or similar
  • Minimum 3 years work experience
  • Proven ability of structured work approach and logical thinking
  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills required
  • Strong ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies and trends
  • Excellent ability to apply analytics and research to drive results
  • In depth knowledge, skill and aptitude in developing analytical models, including master data management, profiling, data mining and applied statistics
  • Experience in translating business needs into concrete solutions
  • Ability to explain complex technical solutions in simple terms to end users
  • Experience and understanding of maintaining global employee and HR data
  • Solid experience of implementing of analytical thinking to create competitive advantage internally and externally
  • Strong presentation skills preferred
  • Ability to self-direct work, effectively multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Cooperative mindset with great interpersonal skills and organizational understanding required
  • Reliability and ability to maintain confidentially are required
  • Human Resources functional knowledge a plus
  • Fluent in English and multilingual desirable (German, French, Swedish, Italian, Spanish or Japanese).
  • Workday Reporting & Analytics knowledge required
  • Workday Prism BI knowledge is a plus
  • Snaplogic knowledge is a plus
