What You’ll Do

  • Preparation and processing of the monthly payroll for approximately 1300 employees in the Workday (In-house ERP system) and other their party payroll vendor portals.
  • Process payroll for India and any other 13 Global entities as assigned
  • Review and ensure accuracy of approved one-off payments/Vacation/ Bonus/Commission and termination pay.
  • Responsible for the coordination between payroll and human resources, to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data.
  • Ensure that employee changes are entered correctly and made on a timely basis, review changes for proper authorization.
  • Manage month end Tax Remittances, ROE’s, Money movement and ensure sufficiency of funds for payroll and taxes.
  • Manage year end payroll task such as Tax Forms and Payroll Reconciliations
  • Maintain a proper document control system.
  • Keep abreast with company policies and tax legislation that have an impact on remuneration.
  • Prepare month-end journals and reporting integrating to the financial system. (including preparation/distribution of detailed reports, e.g., expense claims, overtime, leave balances, head count, and month end reports)
  • Manage Benefit enrolments for employees.
  • Maximize the effectiveness of technologies and supporting processes to drive continuous improvement and change initiatives.
  • Own oversight of Global Payroll to ensure compliance with all corporate and country-specific policies and procedures.
  • Provide audit and oversight to the team’s activities and processes, ensuring that pertinent internal and external compliance and government interaction standards are met.
  • Train employees who are involved in payroll on tax regulations and best practices.
  • Manage payroll discrepancies quickly and efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with all payroll and tax laws.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Workday Team to create payroll reports.
  • Collaborate with People Partners to resolve issues around employee profiles and set up.
  • Answer payroll-related questions from employees
  • Stay up to date with labor legislation and any changes in employee insurance and tax regulations.
  • Audit payroll transactions to ensure all amounts and payment dates are accurate.
  • Manage all yearend tax compliance.
  • Manage employee pension set up and contributions like RRSP, NI, PF, 401K etc.
  • Manage set up and smooth functioning of employee health and retirement benefits globally.
  • Manage benefit related issues as and when required.
  • Answer benefit related queries.

Experience You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • PCP Certified
  • 6 to 8 years of payroll and accounting experience
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Computer literacy with MS office required
  • Strong administration skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Positive, solution-focused attitude
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Workday experience is a plus

Note:

Working Hours  : Based on EST ( Canadian Team hours )

Shift Allowance : There is no extra shift allowance for working EST time zone.
