Reporting to the Manager of Business Intelligence and Data Analytics at South Shore Health (SSH), this position will focus on WorkDay Reporting systems and tools. The role supports Human Resources, Finance and Supply Chain teams using WorkDay. This person will be responsible for the development, testing and on-going maintenance of WorkDay reports at SSH.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. SUPPORT: Responsible for the ongoing support and maintenance of WorkDay-based business intelligence solutions. Determines and accommodates impact of routine WorkDay system maintenance for SSH reporting customers, operations staff, and system admin resources as well as interfaced (downstream) data consumers.
2. SUPPORT: Monitors WorkDay reporting support queue and facilitates the prioritization of data/report requests to ensure alignment with organizational priorities through established review processes.
3. ANALYSIS: Serves as thought partner for WorkDay report requestors. Evaluates requests for business intelligence enhancements or revisions, consults with requestors on how best to achieve their reporting goals, and establishes reasonable plans and timetables for transforming agreed-upon requirements into reporting solutions.
4. TECHNICAL: Possesses, acquires and maintains the technical skills necessary to support the organization’s WorkDay solutions.
5. COMMUNICATION/TRAINING: Acts as a subject matter expert to SSH end users for WorkDay reporting tools. Orients and trains SSH personnel, including other IS department staff, on WorkDay system reporting tools.
6. DOCUMENTATION: Produces and maintains role-relevant program, system, operational, and project documentation. Develops the project charters, specifications and test plans required to fully document their business intelligence development work.
7. ORGANIZATIONAL: Works with all clinical, business and IS constituents in a positive, supportive and collaborative team manner.
8. Other duties as required including report development in non-WorkDay systems.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education – Preferred
Bachelor’s degree required. BS in Computer Science, Information Systems or Healthcare–related field strongly preferred.
Minimum Work Experience
Zero (0) to three (3) years experience working with WorkDay reporting tools in a healthcare setting.
Working knowledge of SQL language. Coursework is acceptable as experience.
Required additional Knowledge, and Abilities
If these skills and abilities are not already present, they would be required by the end of the new hire’s first six months with SSH.
WorkDay tool training/certification preferred.
Familiar with all types of WorkDay report types; Composite, Matrix, BIRT, Dashboards, etc.
Demonstrate an ability to create and leverage calculated fields and an understanding of Workday’s business objects/data sources to recommend the most efficient reporting solutions.
Strong working knowledge of hospital operations and healthcare industry drivers.
Strong working knowledge of Workday “Human Capital Management” (HCM), “Supply Chain Management” (SCM) and Financial Management modules.
Demonstrated proficiency working with Microsoft Office tools including advanced analytical capabilities of Excel, Power Query, etc.
