JOB PURPOSE

Responsible for providing overall Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) support to the HR department, managers, and employees. Provide maintenance and support for the Workday HCM system and other HR applications. Maintain internal databases and develop reports to meet the requirements of the HR department, company managers, and employees.  This position functions as an integral partner in a variety of HR projects, working closely with the user community outside of HR including IT, Payroll, Finance, or other departments. Maintains and organizes system documentation, including design specifications and report libraries. Collaborates with end-users to develop system policies and procedures.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Analyzes and coordinates Workday system processing and develops interfaces and procedures to minimize redundant data collection and assures compatibility with end user systems.  Troubleshoots and resolves system process and reporting problems.

Respond to HR staff inquiries about HRIS issues.  Evaluate, analyze, and develop solutions that meet the customer’s needs in a manner that is appropriate, reproduceable, efficient and within HRIS standards and guidelines.

Provide maintenance and security administration of Workday and other HR systems. Evaluate and analyze requests involving changes to existing HR systems to accommodate short and long-term business needs.  Develop and conduct integrated systems testing, documentation and analysis of results. Collaborate with technical experts and/or application vendors to find and implement effective HRIS solutions. 

Create custom reports using the most appropriate reporting tools to effectively extract information to meet specific business needs.  Evaluate incoming requests for the most effective approach based on customer requirements and provide business analysis of results when necessary.

Participate in the design, development, and delivery of effective HR projects requiring HR systems configuration at the department and/or corporate level.  Partner with internal business partners and/or external vendors to ensure that projects are executed through a high-quality process. Ensure and advocate for the use of best practices and high-quality standards around requirement management, system configuration, user acceptance testing and documentation, communication, training, and implementation. Identify and advise partners of risks and downstream impacts of proposed changes and recommend a course of action for remediation as appropriate.

Job Specifications

1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field plus experience in systems management and reporting tools or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

2. Experience: 1-3 years HRIS experience with emphasis in HR systems enhancement and support. Report writing and cloud-based technology experience preferred. 

3. Knowledge of HR issues, such as employee relations, benefits, staffing, compensation, legal/compliance and wage and hour. 

4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with all levels and functional areas of the organization which translates into the ability to work effectively with the business identifying, coordinating, and documenting requirements.

The salary for employees working in Colorado in this role is listed below. The Standard’s package also includes incentive plan participation and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, retirement, and paid time off.

Salary Range:

$40,600.00 – $72,700.00
