As an HCIS/Workday Reporting and Business Analyst,  you will provide reporting, analysis, and support to all organizational levels.  In this role, you’ll: gather business partner requirements to deliver clear, concise, and meaningful metrics, trends, and analytics; participate in data analysis and research projects; be the subject matter expert for HCIS and Workday reporting; and be responsible for reporting related documentation and security.  

These responsibilities focus on delivering a superior client experience, assisting in business decisions and improving operations.

Responsibilities

  • Gather business partner requirements to deliver clear, concise, and meaningful metrics, trends, and analytics through HCIS and Workday reports, dashboards, discovery boards, scorecards, web services, and worksheets.  This includes designing, developing, configuring, and testing simple to complex HCIS and Workday reports (advanced, matrix, composite) utilizing Workday Report Writer and Report Designer, as well as other tools and available technologies.  

  • Participate in data analysis and research projects to solve problems and provide actionable insights for organizational decision-making.  Thoroughly analyze and interpret data to identify anomalies, trends, and improvement opportunities.

  • To ensure a consistent, trusted user experience, use report design standards, perform regular data audits, educate end-users,  and use report monitoring. Data visualization should be the primary presentation for executive dashboards.  

  • Maintain awareness of current trends in HCIS and Workday reporting and best practices, collaborating with other organizations in the Workday Community to share knowledge and create and adhere to industry best practices.

  • Responsible for quality assurance with tenant-wide calculated fields, custom report maintenance, and data access security.  Maintains a central library of data definitions, report catalogs, and reporting-related documentation.

  • Review system upgrades/releases to determine overall business impact, conduct regression testing, and recommend future enhancements/functionality.

  • Lead efforts to analyze and optimize report performance and troubleshoot business and production issues, performing root cause analysis to reduce future issues.

  • Responsible for accurate compliance reporting for federal programs and audits.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience with HCM reporting, including a robust working knowledge of Workday reports (advanced, matrix, composite), tools (Workday Report Writer and Report Designer), and Workday’s data architecture.  Experience with PRISM and/or BIRT reporting experience is a plus.

  • Demonstrate a client-oriented approach to Human Capital data analysis, including the ability to engage with a variety of business leaders and translate their business needs into clear, concise, and meaningful metrics.

  • This candidate should have experience with Workday calculated fields, business objects, and a solid applied knowledge of HCIS reporting methodologies.

  • Maintain awareness of current trends in HCIS and Workday reporting and best practices.

  • Ability to prioritize work under time constraints to meet project deadlines and adapt to a dynamic work environment by learning quickly and solving problems

  • Highly analytical, with strong problem-solving and organizational skills, including analyzing large datasets and proactively communicating insights in an understandable format.

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal.

  • Proficient in Google applications (docs, sheets, etc.) and Microsoft Excel.

Compensation Range

Annual Salary: $85,000.00 – $120,000.00
