The HCIS/Workday Senior Analyst – HCM is a key contributor to our mission of driving innovation across the organization and will be an internal consultant to Success Academies business partners that will proactively make recommendations regarding business issues and enhancements.  This role will work with the HCIS team and their business partners, and is responsible for partnering with internal and external customers and vendors to elicit requirements, and design, develop, test, and deploy HCM configurations that will streamline and enhance business processes, create efficiencies, and/or increase data integrity.  This role will also provide day-to-day operational support; provide training and auditing for HCM systems, configure and deploy reports, and is the primary owner for all HCM requests. 

Responsibilities

Develop HCM Functionality 

  • Partner with internal and external customers and vendors to elicit requirements, and design, develop, test, and deploy HCM configurations that will streamline and enhance business processes, create efficiencies, and/or increase data integrity. Utilize best practices and standards in creating solutions.

  • Responsible for HCIS/Workday configurations, upgrades, security and support for the Workday HCM module. 

  • Serves as a Subject Matter Expert for HCM systems.  Using data, best practices, and system knowledge, to analyze complex ideas or proposals and proactively recommends improvement opportunities around system, process, data and user experience.

  • Leads projects and processes of complex scope, with limited oversight from manager.

  • Creates and maintains required documentation.

  • Actively participate in training, customer groups, and/or networking events to identify best practices and stay current with HCIS and data analytics trends.

Support & Training

  • Provide support to HCIS team members, internal business partners, and end users related to HCM support issues, release testing, utilizing best practices, and answering inquiries in a timely manner.

  • Provide training to the respective functional areas on HCM processes to ensure understanding and increase adoption.   Participates in the development of training materials.

  • Communicates complex ideas and is able to translate business needs into technical requirements, as well as translate technical details to non-technical audiences.

Reporting, Audits and Other Duties

  • Provide the data/reporting needs from business partners requests ensuring all new reports and calculated fields are documented in reporting inventories and data dictionaries.

  • Review system usage metrics/error reports and identify, investigate and resolve potential issues.

  • Complete monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual audits in Workday and other HCIS Systems.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in configuring Workday HCM and subsequent security and reporting.

  • Strong functional understanding of HCIS business terminology, processes and practices.

  • Additional experience with other Workday functionality such as Compensation, Benefits is a plus.

  • Participates in training and development activities to keep abreast of current trends and best practices.  Incorporates these best practices into designs.

  • Demonstrated customer focus and able to build relationships with all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while responding with a sense of urgency to immediate needs.  Strong organizational skills and initiative required, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively manage deadlines.

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field and experience with Workday report writer and dashboards preferred.

  • Highly analytical, with strong problem solving and organizational skills including the ability to analyze large datasets, and proactively communicate insights.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal.

  • Proficient in Google applications (docs, sheets, etc.) or Microsoft Office Suite (Excel,  Word, etc.)

Compensation Range

Annual Salary: $100,000.00 – $150,000.00
