SWIFT is looking for a Head of HR & Agile Coaches for our Americas region. You will be responsible for the full portfolio of HR services and processes across the Americas region (offices located in NYC, Miami, Virginia, Mexico City, and Sao Paulo). This is a key leadership position within the company reporting to our Global Head of HR, who is located in Europe. You will join and lead a strong and stable leadership team (5 direct reports), each managing teams staffed with tenured HR professionals and regional Agile Coaches in key functional areas (HR Core, HR Business Partners & Learning, Talent Acquisition, HR System & Change, and Agile Coaches).

Vision and Strategy: Work with strategic stakeholders and your peer regional heads (i.e., EMEA & APAC) to collaboratively set and execute on the long-term vision for key people operations functions, consistently improving effectiveness and helping us achieve our overall business goals; drive future organizational design and change management initiatives to help maintain a high-performing, motivated, and impactful team.

Talent: Own the recruiting function for the region and work with our team and consultants to identify, recruit, and on-board and develop the best talent for SWIFT.

Transformation: Drive SWIFT’s Agile transformation for the Americas forward; further develop the coaching function, its adoption, value, and acceptance; and evolve HR practices to remain align with the strategic needs of the organization for the future.

Systems, Data and Compliance: Improve the collection and use of people-related data to aid in better decision making; develop key metrics to measure SWIFT KPIs, performance, engagement and retention; ensure compliance with all equal employment opportunity laws, employment, benefits, payroll and wage-hour laws across all SWIFT’s locations.

  • We are Global, with a Regional focus.  This means your focus will primarily be in the Americas, but effective collaboration across the Global teams will be a critical success factor.

  • Leadership, at the heart of what you do will be to lead.  Lead your team, empower them, remove impediments, take decisions, and continue to set the direction for HR .

  • Risk management is a critical focus of SWIFT and your involvement in SWIFT risk processes will be essential.

  • Budget and oversight, you will have various responsibilities overseeing your team budget as well as the various benefit plans that SWIFT offers and funds

What we expect

  • 10+ years of HR experience leading and working with global teams in the Fintech or Information Technology industry.

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human Resources.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Knowledge and expertise including full end-to-end HR practices: recruitment, talent development, performance coaching, facilitation, legislation, labor relations, organizational design as well as change manage experience: initiating, steering, coaching and sustaining change.

  • Agile: Solid understanding of the principles of Agile, Agile Organizations, and self-servant leadership methodologies/tools.

  • HR Tech skills: Workday experience would be a plus, however, you need to be skilled and versed in IT to help set and prioritize our HR systems roadmap. 

  • Willingness to travel—both domestic and international—although travel will remain limited.
